Was researching 12v pool light fixtures and came across this "All cord lengths over 50 ft. on 12-V lights create resistance that dramatically reduces the light output". Is this true? has anyone notice this?

Thanks,
Joe

Some pool light transformers have taps for 12V, 13V or 14V output so you can adjust for the voltage loss along the wire and have around 12V at the light fixture.

Ok. I was thinking. Can I just put the j box closer to the pool to avoid this. It will be about 12” away from the pool. I’m going to install an outlet in the same location anyway.
