    Best Pool Camera for Safety

I have 15 Blink cameras and have had them for two years. It is a very basic camera system but we have had no issues with them. No cloud fees, wireless and dependable. Your clips are stored on a sync module in your home. I was very thankful we had them when this happened this spring. The motion...

How can I use dye to check bottom main drain....for leak ?

I had some iron stains on my main drain. I stood on the diving board and held my teenage daughter down with the pool brush so she could scrub it with a magic eraser. We had to do it a few times to get the job done but it worked.🤣🤣🤣

Will I need a different gas meter? Gas line suggestions?

I am not an expert but when we had our heater installed we needed a dedicated line with two shutoffs. One is at the line coming into the house and the other is at the heater. Our gas company came and switched us out to a small commercial thing at the utility pole. It cost us $2,000 and I just...

Bluestone stain woes - help! Pics attached

I would try Tide powder along with some Oxiclean Maxforce. Both in the laundry section I would make a paste with some bleach and rub it on and let it set for awhile. I use this stuff for everything with really good results. Get the old fashion tide powder it has enzymes. No pods, green, eco or...

Any advice on a good (but fairly portable) power sprayer for concrete pool deck?

Back in the day my hubby had to have the biggest 😄😄 ours is 3800 PSI and a brute. It does a fabulous job On concrete. A couple of years I bought one of those round surface cleaner attachments and was by far the best decision I ever made. It makes the job so much easier and faster. I used to...

My heater was hooked up before the gas line was installed. The pool company gave me a dry run on how to operate the unit and away we went.

Plastic gasket material coming off bottom of steps

Mine was like yours and I pulled it off. You could cut it loose where it has already started coming loose. Keep an eye on it and brush the whole strip and that groove underneath it. I guarantee you will get algae if not cleaned on a regular basis. Try to separate the flap and get in there as...

Plastic gasket material coming off bottom of steps

Mine is long gone. You need to scrub that strip with a brush. I use a toothbrush, you have gunk in there. I would rub a white rag over it first and make sure it is not algae. Every time I get an algae outbreak it starts there.

Getting rid of ants around the pool

I am trying this out this year Termidor SC I have a real problem with ants. They literally climb up the outside of my house and come in through my ceiling vents. I have caulked, tried everything on the market at the big box stores and nothing phases them. We have them in the house year round...

    Pool Heater recommendations

We put in a Raypak two years ago and we couldn’t be happier. Just today my pool company was here and the guy told my hubby we made the best decision to go with a Raypak. He said they sell Pentair and they are junk.

Please explain brushing a plaster pool

I must be an oddball because I LOVE brushing my pool. I am a huge advocate for brushing. It makes my water look so good. I can always tell when the pool has been brushed. I usually do mine on Sunday nights after everyone goes to bed. I put my headphones on, grab an adult cocktail, put the pool...

    Raypak 406 SW open rollout

Ok, thnx for all the info. I have the pool company coming and will talk to them about installing a stack. They are actually coming because of the heater installation. Raypak 406 SW open rollout

I have the pool company coming on another matter next week and I am going to talk to them about installing a wind stack. Another question... This is the second time it has happened and last year it was the same scenario. We were heating the water from 58 degrees to 90. Once it gets there we...

    Raypak 406 SW open rollout

Thnx, We don't have a stack and it is always windy here (today we had a wind alert). I asked the pool company about it last year after it happened and they said don't worry about one. I am reconsidering this idea because this is always so windy here. My hubby figured out the part and we ordered...

    Raypak 406 SW open rollout

This is the second time it has happened when it is really windy and the heater is running. The pool company fixed it under warranty the first time. Which size of Natural Gas Pool Heater?

Yes, we had no idea our meter and such would have to be changed. We did not have enough gas coming off our line to even run the heater. The gas company installed a small commercial meter on our line and required two shutoffs on our line for the heater.

Which size of Natural Gas Pool Heater?

We went with a 400k unit and it was the best decision we could have made. The cost about gave my hubby a heart attack but in the end he agrees it was worth every penny. The biggest headache was the gas line. We get about three degrees an hour when heating the pool and the gas bills have been...

How do I get rid of all this stuff?

My recycling is overflowing every week. The trash company won't pick up if the lid isn't fully closed. I am literally jumping up and down on that thing every week to get the lid closed. I crush my bleach bottles as i throw them in the can. It makes life so much easier.

Heater: Raypak vs Pentair Mastertemp 300s and 400s

No, we paid $4,600 for the heater installed. The plumbing was $2,000, yeah my hubby was not happy. We bought it through our pool company and that is what they charged us.

Heater: Raypak vs Pentair Mastertemp 300s and 400s

We just put a Raypak 406 in and let me tell you it was worth every penny! Our gas line was not big enough so we had to do some special plumbing on the line and the gas company installed a small commercial regulator (no charge to us) at the box. It was expensive but we are getting around three...

Gas pipe size for pool heater?

I am currently going through the gas line issue. My house only has 250k coming in and my heater is 400k. I need 650k to run my heater and the things in my home. The max they can bring in on a regular meter in my area is 600k. The plumber (to the tune of $2,000) installed all the needed things...

pool light had water in it and may be broken now

Thanx, I had some Tp Link ones but they never would stay connected to my wifi and one burned out after a couple of months. The directions say they may not work as well in metal lights so that may have been the problem so i want to try another brand.
