    Which filter! Need help ASAP!

That is the filter I have and I love it. It is plenty for your pool. I never have to touch the filter during the season. The only problem I am having is I cannot find off-brand cartridges to fit it. The aquapro cartridge replacement is 160.00.

new pool owner....just getting started....am i missing anything?

If you are adding acid to lower the ph the ta will come down as well. I had to add acid a few times during our first season but once the ta got to 80 the ph stabilized and the second year I never had to mess with it. Apparently tap water here has very high TA.

new pool owner....just getting started....am i missing anything?

Your CYA should stay pretty stable unless you have a significant water change. I will check mine after a really heavy rain period where I am removing a few inches of water from the pool. If the water level is not changing you shouldn't need to check it that frequently. I really only check mine...

Need advice in how to keep a clean pool with no chlorine

I hear ya. I want as natural as possible. I went with a salt generator but the generator is still turning the salt into chlorine, it just seems to be a more natural option. I very rarely need to add chlorine/bleach to my pool. The generator does a great job. I didn't want to be dumping bleach in...

This year follow the closing instructions on here instead. This is my 3rd year NOT using a pool store and opened to crystal clear water again. The info here is key!

    Saltwater Pool, No Chlorine

Yes, the CYA keeps the sun from eating up the chlorine right away. You need to keep the levels per the chart - https://www.troublefreepool.com/content/128-chlorine-cya-chart-slam-shock - - - Updated - - - You can get it at walmart, lowes or homedepot usually. Or from a pool store if you can't...

What are the first signs something is wrong?

Well it is recommended to check chlorine and ph daily, along with checking the pump pressure (and leaks) and emptying the skimmer. At least I believe that is what pool school said. I would think if something was going wrong you would see more chlorine loss than normal as it would be eating up...

    Wait time before swimming?

Trucked water is usually city drinking water but you should check. My kids were in the day it filled although it was pretty cold. I just dumped half a gallon of liquid chlorine in each day or so until I got everything up and running. I didn't have a test kit for the first 5 days so I had to just...

new coleman pool filling slowly from well

I would honestly just get a water truck. In northern NJ it costed only 275 for 6500 gallons. Even if you only get one truck load.

Water in pool but equipment not setup, add bleach yet?

Ok I saw it is not recommended to do stabilizer without circulating. We are getting severe thunderstorms soon so I'll get it ready to have for tomorrow when hopefully the weathe is better.

Water in pool but equipment not setup, add bleach yet?

Wow, so the gallon we put in yesterday burned off already? Should I add CYA this time? I am kind of in limbo with everything until the salt generator is up and running. Yesterday was sunny and 85. Today is partly sunny and probably almost 80.

Water in pool but equipment not setup, add bleach yet?

Ok test kit arrived today. Husband dumped a gallon of liquid chlorine in yesterday from his pool buddy. Equipment is setup and electrical should be done in the next 2 days (hopefully). I tried out the Taylor kit just to get used to working with it. Total chlorine is basically 0 and pH is 8.2...

Water in pool but equipment not setup, add bleach yet?

Pool water was added on Friday. Equipment is not getting plumed till today (Sunday). Electrical won't be ready until probably Tuesday. I'm wondering if I should be adding anything to the pool yet or wait until the filter and saltwater generator are running? I'm afraid to add anything without any...
