Raypak Avia Connector slip Union Broke. Would a Generic Threaded connector work?

So unfortunately both my unions cracked and I need new ones asap. Do I need to by the branded genuine unions from Raypak or would any 2 inch connector slip union work? I attached a photo of the Raypak ones which are $60 bucks, but I believe I can just pick up unbranded generic ones that would...

How to make pool pump smart/work with phone?

Makes sense guys. Probably should just leave everything as is with timer. Now for the Raypak, considering it can be controlled from app. Does it make more sense for it to be wired to timer? Or have constant power? I figured constant power so it’s always on BUT not running. I figured this...

    Could my CYA be 0?

THANKS again guys. I have two socks hanging from the returns now. One on each. How long do you think until it’ll dissolve considering it’s fine texture

    Could my CYA be 0?

Okay so I just bought 20lbs of CYA. So the consistency is like fine grain almost like salt. Do I still need to do the sock method or can this just be dumped in the pool and it’ll dissolve quick since it’s small grain sized?

Is salt Water Pools Or chlorine Pools easier to handle?

Was looking to go salt but I was wondering if salt is harder to deal with when it comes to chemicals and keeping the water clear/clean. Ive dealt with a chlorine pool for the past two years and its just become routine now. Somewhat a little apprehensive swiping to salt because I've never dealt...

So my pool has a Marin Smart Cover in it and I just noticed it filled up from looking in the skimmer. Water is in the skimmer at this point. 18x36 in ground pool cover recommendations

So I’ve been doing some research about mesh and solid in ground pool covers. I’ve Also been researching some brand names as well. What I gather is mesh filters out the debris and the water goes into the pool (rain/snow water) my concern with that is murky water when I open. Which can be cleaned...

Does anyone keep their pump running 24/7?

Wow 10 years continuous without major issues? Is so, that gives me some faith that the intelliflo will last a good while. Awesome experiment and thanks for doing it! I actually heard that to. I hope starting and stopping isn’t to much of an issue.

Does anyone keep their pump running 24/7?

Thanks for the info. Yes true about my variable speed pump, I just worry of longevity with the pump. Main reason I’m asking if I should run it 24/7 I mean, would 12 hours on, then 12 off suffice and still keep pool clean?
