Best way to replace gaskets on suction and returns while pool is filled

At the bottom of the pool it's only 4 psi so it's not really hard to stop the water.

    Lastest casualty in pouring bleach

I picked up some jugs at my local farm store and put them on my flatbed. The bet had something sharp on it and poked a hole in the jug as I was lifting them out. New shirt from Christmas so either the wife is going to make a shirt out of it or I just have a new work shirt.

Advice on reducing high chlorine levels

What was the friends test kit? I assure you, there is only one way to test things for pools and if your not using it it cannot be relied on! If it's not a Taylor 2006 or tft or equivalent those test results go straight into the trash. Oto can be relied on for 0-2 fc, after that you don't know...

    Paint exposed panels for heat?

Should be fine, you probably won't get much heat transfer as every material takes a hit on efficiency. Every efficiency number is probably way over estimated and I'm probably missed some things too. Sun 100% Black paint 90% 90 Wall paint 80% 72 Steel 80% 57.6 Liner 50% 28.8 % of the sun gets...

Best DIY for clamping things to Intex top rail?

Go to the PVC hanger dept of a box store and there should be something close. Go to the clamp tool type section and pick up a kit of spring clamps, that's not what you want but it's something you can use till you find something. You can make your own clamps with some aluminum and ss bolts but...

Using a 460 Hp pump to vacuum my above ground pool

It's cold here so makes it easier to clear the floor. Swim season starts around the end of May without a heater.

Using a 460 Hp pump to vacuum my above ground pool

Haha kind of like of omission, the motor is 460 but I would guess the pump only needs around 20-30. Good to see you.

Using a 460 Hp pump to vacuum my above ground pool

Hello all! It has been awhile, from working 7 days a week to save money to start a business to having a pinched nerve in my back in last august that put me on the floor for 3 months i havent been getting around here very much since my last break. A couple years ago i bought a used pool ladder...

What's the thinnest xps foam used in a agp?

Yeah I'm going with some landscape border at some point. Dog in not much of a digger so I'm not worried

What's the thinnest xps foam used in a agp?

The thinnest I have seen here is 3/4", I used 1/2" and my dog decided to test is 1/2" is good enough. I can fit my hand in this hole. Let me know what you think!

    Hard to put up pool....

Most sod cutters have trouble in my area, so a square shovel cutting bricks works. Then I put the bricks in the front yard to grow Bermuda there. Yeah over it

    Would this foam board work?

Eps works and there is a few members with it, but eps doesn't do as well v water than xps, so if xps is available get that, if it's just a price point.......

Intex 18’ x 9’ XPS with pressure treated boards advise.

Find some pavers or pour a concrete footer, wood plus water won't work

    New build - 27’ 54” Resin

Even Eps is ok but xps is better, I think because of water but it has been too long since I've compared the too.

Bonding above ground pool composite deck

Hmm I'm not the best person to answer this but I wonder if your building static electricity on the composite decking. One way to know is walk on the deck like you know you would get a shock on the water but touch something metal instead.

Question about overfilling on (modded) Intex pool

The holes are from the design, and not for overflow. If they were for overflow only one tiny one would be needed. 6" of wall height on a good Intex style of pool I don't think will matter at the top at least, maybe at the bottom be if your pool is really badly set up. If you cover the holes I'd...

need help selecting SWG, pump, and filter for my 24' AGP

You will be fine although the Intex swg are small and require longer run times. If you find your energy bill or pump run time too long just supplement with bleach during the summer. Most of your clorine will be from the swg so you won't have to use much.
