Need help with my pool, I want to know my options

It's probably not practical to repair that much damage. The only way to repair it is to replace the entire section to where there is no sign of damage from the upright to the left of the return to the upright to the right of the skimmer. You'll have to make seams like the one where the pool...

Advice on AGP purchase!! Please help!!

I looked at the filter that's included with the Melenia and matched the one closest to it with the Loch and the Melenia has a 120 sqft compared to the largest cartridge filter option (100 sqft) for the Loch. However, if you don't include the filter and pump then you can save yourself a good bit...

Advice on AGP purchase!! Please help!!

I apologize in advance for not being much help. I initially considered the 54" pool as 2" more depth is a bigger difference than you think, and they offer better equipment, however that pool is about $1,000 more than the 52" pool. So, it all boils down to is 2" More depth and a...

Check list for replacing liner on 30 ft above ground pool

I would plan on replacing the skimmer and return gaskets. I would also replace the cove if you have foam coving. IT may be fine, but they tend to get compressed over time. I would also have some good primer and a wire brush on hand just in case there's a tiny bit of corrosion on the wall. You...

    Separated Upright On Pool

I agree with what Dave (Teald024) said. Looks like you can take the top rail off and reset the top channel and reinstall the brackets and top rail.

    Rola-Chem vs Stenner

The thing I like about the Stenner is that you can change the pump volume capacity just by changing the pump tube and part replacement is easy. However, the Rola-Chem is a very capable pump. You won't go wrong with either. As you said, they are virtually the same cost, so pick the one you like...

Any reason to bring sand filter into garage for winter

There's no reason to bring it in. But if you do decide to bring it in, be very careful not to jostle it much at all as you don't want to break something inside If you do leave it outside (preferred) That multiport valve should have an "N" position between Filter and Rinse. Put it in that...

Draining water from pool w/ cartridge filter

My cartridge filter has a 1½" threaded drain like your filter does. I plumbed a valve into that drain and use it to drain off some water whenever I need to. I have ours hard piped, but you could adapt a backwash hose to it if you wanted to.

    AGP electrical wiring question

If you're wanting to direct bury the pump cord, it's likely SOOW cord and that's not rated for DB. However there's nothing stopping you from replacing the cord and running it in sealtite conduit underground to the timer.

Pool wall bowing out on new round pool.... ?

You can, but you need to be real careful not to damage the liner. The cove should keep you away from it, but just be aware.

Pool wall bowing out on new round pool.... ?

It could be that there is a small 'bump' in the ground at that point. That will cause the wall to bow like that.

Pool wall bowing out on new round pool.... ?

Looks like the wall got a wrinkle in it either during shipping or installation. I don't think it'll hurt anything, but it doesn't look right.

    How deep can I go?

My skimmer looks a lot like that one and it works well until the water gets about 1" from the top of the mouth. Above 1" from the top it doesn't 'suck' the floating debris in as well.

    6”-8” depression

That looks like it could be a depression caused by an underground cavity from a root etc. that decayed years ago and wasn't found during excavation. Unfortunately the only way to fix it is to drain the pool and pull back the liner and fill it with good compactable material, and compact it to...

Bonding above ground pool composite deck

My initial thought when I read 'composite decking', was static buildup. New composite decking has a pretty good tendency to build up static. You could try an anti-static strap from the deck to the ground, but even that may not help. Especially since you'd have to connect it to each 'board' on...

What should be included for $1,300 install (or do ourselves) Long Post

I agree with Sam, have the excavator do the digging and do the install yourself, provided you have a few friends that can help with the wall, and the liner.

Above Ground Pool Damage - From What?

Does your pool freeze solid during the winter? Was the pool level to begin with? I tend to agree about it possibly being frost heave. And you'll definitely need a new pool. :(

    Natural Gas or Electric

As a general rule, gas is the way to go for heating a pool, however for that size pool you can consider a heat pump if all you want to do is extend your swim season a little. Do you know your cost per KWH of power? And the cost of natural gas? If you do you can compare the two and come up with...

How many pieces for 4'X8' XPS would I need for 27' AGP?

I get that you need 21 to be safe, though you can probably get by with 20 by using the trimmings to fill in the spaces.

    Above Ground Pool Fencing Ideas

Most above ground pools that are 4' high meet the fencing requirements without a separate fence. As Pat said you'll need a ladder that can be locked to prevent entry or a lockable gate that prevents entry. Unless your municipality has specific rules requiring fencing.

    Buying new steel sided pool

If at all possible I would get a 2-speed pump, even if it is a larger one. You don't say if the first pump is 2-speed so it may be. If it is then that would be fine as you can run it on low speed >90% of the time. That filter will be fine, I'd personally opt for a cartridge filter about 200 sqft...

Help! Can’t figure out pool manufacturer.

The key to the mfg is that logo on the post. I thought it may be a Buster Crabbe because it resembles a Cancer sign, but I can't find anything of theirs that looks like that. Have you checked around at the local pool places to see if they have ever sold pools with that logo? I'm sure you've...

Converted to Half PVC, No Flow to Return

That pump has an air bleed on top of the casing. I'd open that and let it run until you're absolutely sure there's no air in the lines.

Converted to Half PVC, No Flow to Return

Adding that much piping horizontally shouldn't affect the pumping greatly. Are you sure you don't have some debris in the impeller, or maybe an airlock in the pump? Those small pumps are very sensitive to airlock.
