    Yes, but they are not likely to see the same damage that metal or de grids would.

    Yep. It would only be an issue if you were adding large amounts all at once, and then it would take many years to see any damage. But it can be the difference between 10 years or 15 in a heat exchanger.

    Mixing is necessary! The risk with your method is not to the plaster but to the pump, filter, and especially heater from pulling higher than normal concentrations through the equipment. But with as little as you use, I suspect you are ok there.
