Well I measured the water level all around the pool and it's pretty even. It's only in the skimmers where it us uneven...so I suspect poor workmanship when they installed the pool that they didn't make sure the 2 skimmers were at the right height. Thanks all.

I have another question: can I use liquid stabilizer instead of dry CYA? It's not cost effective for a large pool but I imagine a gallon of the stuff will go a long way for the hot tub and be a lot easier to add.

Chris- When you say high end of range for CYA level, I am unsure what you mean...I use liquid bleach all the time and have never used tablets as I am aware they raise CYA. Mine is currently about 60-70 right now BTW. Just don't know what you mean by highe end of the range for CYA level.

Hello. I'm going to be away for a little over a week and my SWG is not working currently. Best way to maintain Chlorine while I'm away assuming nobody can come to my house to help. Dump a whole bunch of bleach before I leave? To slam levels? Put in a bunch of Chlorine tablets into a floater?

So the verdict is. Pool store says 3000 and strips say 2800 so it seems like the sensor is on the fritz. Time to call the pool company at least it's still under warranty

In my experience over the past 2 years, one bag of salt seems to increase my levels by 200-300. My levels last week were at 2800. added two bags and a few days later its at 3200. added another bag and a few days later its 3600. Cool.
