How long is your pool taking to get built ?

Florida here. Broke ground in May of 2021. Waiting on plaster and electrical. Looking like a 12 month build however that's just a guess based on 2-3 months of waiting between steps we've experienced so far.

Hopefully the pool bubble is over!

Scary thing is is if the cash flow stops from new business and the PB's run out of $ to finish current builds.

White Noise Ideas for Pool Build - Barking Dogs

One can only hope. It's a Bard package unit if I had to guess was 20-40 years old. It may outlive me. I even offered to split the cost to change it to a normal split system. The whole "working with your neighbors" philosophy only works when they are sane.

White Noise Ideas for Pool Build - Barking Dogs

I'm dealing with something similar only I think my situation is worse. My neighbor has an ancient air conditioner 15 feet up on the side of her house overlooking my pool. The only good solutions are very expensive and it doesn't seem as easy to get the county involved for an AC vs barking dogs...

    Am I being screwed over??

Is it buried as deep as is displayed in the design? Seems like it could be a couple feet lower and not require a wall.

New build - spa walls shot too thick

Seems like they would have to completely tear out and replace the walls to do it right. Sadly I've learned from my build that literally not a single change we made across several trades actually made it to anyone's hands.

First pool Tampa area - Plumbing question

Just unbelievable the comedy of errors across the whole industry it seems. Last week I had an entire extra set of pool equipment(pump, filter, lights, electronic panel and even the equipment pad) delivered to my house and placed right next to the equipment I had already received. Not a single...

New build in Tampa - Palm trees planted

I'd probably suggest waiting. To be honest I would have probably waited until at least pavers were installed, however we bought the trees 5 months ago back when things were on schedule and the tree place was holding them for me, so I just wanted to get them off their hands.

New build in Tampa - Palm trees planted

While the agonizingly slow build process continues, we decided to go ahead and have our 4 palm trees planted once the deck footers were poured.

    Help with Auto drain configuration

I think I'll go with what the PB recommends which is to plumb the overflow into the back of the skimmer. There is a knockout hole that could be used. I know it can only handle so much.

    Help with Auto drain configuration

I'm leaning towards going with the skimmer hole route verses the autofill can. That will at least ensure its in the right level. I realize this won't handle torrential downpours.

    Help with Auto drain configuration

Ok thx for the pic. I'm guessing they probably forgot to do that during gunite and are trying to go this route instead. We never really went into detail as to how they would accomplish autodraining. They did install a manual valve I can use to drain during heavy rains.

    Help with Auto drain configuration

No they had to drill a hole afterwards. I assume it was missed in the plans since it was a late addition. Here I a pic of the new hole

Overhang of Travertine around Raised beam

I'm wondering if they can trowel a small notch/gap just below the travertine cap. That separation might give the illusion of more overhang. I noticed in some homes in my neighborhood that were recently stucco"d they did a line like that where the top of the wall meets the roof gable.

Overhang of Travertine around Raised beam

My stucco has not been applied yet but looks like the travertine coping has an approximately 3/4 -1 inch overhang, which is a little small for my liking. My pool backs up to a canal so it will be very visible. When it comes time for stucco I'm going to ask them to preserve as much overhang as...

Pool Design & Specs - Please Critique - Pflugerville, TX

I also recommend an overflow port at some point other than the knock-out hole in the back of the skimmer.. Thanks, Jim R. Hi jim- Not sure if you saw my post, but I'm just about to have the autodrain plumbed. I do have an autofill that has the .75 inch port however my PB is recommending it...

    Help with Auto drain configuration

When you say the line is 18" under the waterline, is it plumbed kinda like a P Trap or something to prevent water from flowing out?
