Darn it! I guess I’ve been slacking. Is there any fool proof way to add a little liquid chlorine daily? Pretty sure the chlorinator is just for tabs... correct? My brain was not considering that a higher cya needs higher Fc.

Maybe this is a rookie question. I finally seem to have my water mostly balanced. My ph has been low. Do I simply add the suggested amount of washing soda? Just dump it in the water?

Thank you so much for the helpful info!! I’ve been adding CYA granules in a sock to bring it up. In all that I’ve read I’ve been afraid for the CYA to get too high do I was baby stepping it. I’ll be sure to bring it up to 50 and go from there. I appreciate the guidance!!!

Hi. I’m maintaining it myself for now. I’ve added granular CYA and I’ve been putting liquid chlorine in it daily to keep it sanitizer. My CYA was low so pool math said I needed to keep the chlorine at 1ppm. Was afraid the tabs were going to raise the CYA too much.

I took my ladder out and saw some algae on it underneath the step. Cleaned it real good but when I flipped it over I saw a rust spot near the top step. Will that cause problems for the water?

I do leave my ladder in the pool. I took it out a few days ago because I saw algae on it so I bleached it and scrubbed it. It stays in the pool though.

I have a cartridge filter. Just got a brand new one and it is pumping real good. I think that how I got into this situation because the filter got nasty real quick.

We had this problem recently. We did end up fixing it without a total tear down. We drained the pool and put wood pieces under the sinking legs along with sand. It fixed the problem.

I used Taylor k2006 because the black dot disappeared between the 30 and the 40. Is this not correct?
