Here are the manufacturers instructions (AquaLeader), no mention of pavers!! Instead they recommend 2" of crushed stone 18 inches wide under the pool wall. I wonder why they are not recommending pavers.

Since you have to dig out soil, did you have to tamp the pavers with a plate compactor afterwards?

What about limestone screenings underneath the wall and supports, compacted. Im so worried about the pavers ripping the liner over time.

Been reading lots of recommendations for ground prep on the forum and on the net (ex. Using pavers under each post, digging out the soil and backfilling with crushed limestone, levelling from the lowest point not backfilling and no pavers) Looking for feedback from users with older installs...

Thank you for the replies really appreciate it! I am seeing this part in stock in Canada SP1500UNPAK2. It looks like the difference is the male end is threaded? I would have to buy a 2” female threaded adapter in order to connect? The Hayward skimmer connection looks the same.

Is the 1.5" outer socket thread typical on Hayward above ground skimmers? I haven't got mine yet but I would imagine it will be a base model like this

Hello looking for some ideas on where to buy or how to make a 2” skimmer for an above ground pool! Can anyone recommend any in ground 2” skimmers that might fit? Has anyone successfully fit a dual port 1.5”? Has anyone reamed the typical 1.5” port bigger? I am getting an Aqualeader influence...
