Another Jandy PDA not connecting thread, but ...

I've read through A LOT of posts in here about my issue. Based on a lot of the suggestions from the experts, I think I know what I should try next to solve my issue, but just wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions for my particular issue before I spend the money. I have the Jandy Aqualink...

Yes, another failure to prime post

Well AJW, you win the prize. Your saran wrap suggestion is a master level hack... and it worked like a charm. Thank you so much. Pump now primed and running. Unfortunately, I wrapped the check valve and nearby connections with the pump off, so not sure exactly where the leak is. However, I...

Yes, another failure to prime post

I'm having a problem getting pump to prime. It has been cold lately - getting down into low 30s occasionally hitting upper 20s. Last week on Wed or Thurs I noticed that the freeze protect on my waterfall pump turned on during the night, but not for the main pump. When I woke up, the main pump...

Preparing to start up my Jandy Chlorine generator

James, the serial number is A07GJ1004 (which I assume you're going to tell me means a 2007 model?) The pump relay is coming. It only acts up periodically. Whenever it doesn't activate, I bang the outside of the box and it activates. Hasn't become stuck in the last week or so.

Preparing to start up my Jandy Chlorine generator

Bought our house with a pool last October. Pool and equipment was is excellent condition (with one exception). Previous owner had been floating tablets to the point that the CYA was sky high, like 200+ sky high. I've since worked it down to 80-90 range. I suspect that the reason he had been...

Is it fairly easy to replace pump relay switch?

So my filter pump has recently begun to remain running when its program has ended. Put in service mode, turn pump off, pump remains running. Tap the pump relay switch and the pump shuts off. I can see that the pin on the relay is getting stuck. Getting more and more random and the forums here...

Error Code on Jandy Aqua Pure Salt Cell - Rewiring connector

Very helpful! Thank you. That got me the part name and number. From there I was able to order replacement assembly. It's called a tri-sensor cable and plug. Or Flow/temp/salinity sensor and plug.

Error Code on Jandy Aqua Pure Salt Cell - Rewiring connector

New to me pool. My Jandy SW Cell is throwing error code 172. Looked up the error code which is a Flow Sensor error. In troubleshooting I noticed a problem with the connector (see photo) where the sensor cable connects into the control panel. You'll see that one of the tiny wires (white) has come...

    AcidBlue Buffered Low-Fume Muriatic Acid

Was surprised this doesn't turn up in forum search here. Anyone used this before? I'd like to get some first-hand opinions on its use for pool care. I understand it isn't the same thing as pure muriatic acid, but it is much much safer to handle. Why I can or why I shouldn't use it, based on pool...

New pool owner with questions: CYA, Salt, Chlorine and other stuff

Yeah, actually about $180 according to the rates published on their website. When I first heard "drain and refill," I naturally feared the worst, but it is actually quite reasonable.

New pool owner with questions: CYA, Salt, Chlorine and other stuff

Just bought a house with a pool. Pool appears to have been kept up very well and is only about 10 years old. In North Texas (Dallas) area. I knew nothing about pool keeping and have learned a bunch from online sources including this group. Very thankful for everybody here. One of the more...
