Where do I start with chemical correction?

I wasn’t so much worried about the CYA and where it went, I just get surprised when it’s always 40. Like it makes me question if I’m doing the test right. Hahahaha. I don’t see any algae, so I don’t need to SLAM? Or I still should? That’s my biggest question I guess.

Where do I start with chemical correction?

FC: 0 PH: 7.2 TA: 90 CYA: 40 (how can it still be 40 from initial set up when we’ve added water a bunch of times?) Where do I start with correcting this? We have our house on the market and the balance got away from me. How long does the taking it down process take? I know it probably starts...

    Pool vacuum or robot

I was looking at the Watertech Pool Blaster Volt fx8. But I also came across the Kokido Telsa 30 at a smaller price. Any advice between these?

    Pool vacuum or robot

Hey all! Thoroughly enjoying our pool. Need recommendations for a pool vacuum or robot to help clean the bottom. Do the manual vacuums take a lot of time? Are any of the robots safe for our kind of pool?? I need bang for the buck. We have the Summer Waves Ultra 14’ x 42”. We are just using...

    Confirm my numbers

I didn’t get overexcited to correct the pH and it’s more like 7.6 today. My chlorine dropped to 0.5 though. I put that number in with the goal of 5 and put in that much chlorine, hoping to swim in a little while. Should I retest later tonight and slam it? I read if it gets lower than 3 to do...

    Confirm my numbers

Put the info into the pool math app...pH and TA. I weighed out the amount the app said to add. I added it. Now I think it’s overshot. This test was about an hour after adding it.

    Confirm my numbers

You mean more Borax? I can handle that. Haha. Is there a recommended scale to weigh the dry chemicals? I just have this goofy kitchen scale. There’s gotta be a better way.

    Confirm my numbers

Am I supposed to check TA? I went by the seasonal pool instructions here and so far have tested CYA, pH, and chlorine. Should I do the rest? Or swim for awhile today and check it again this evening?

    Confirm my numbers

Here’s with paper. At what point can my daughter swim while I adjust the pH a bit more?

    Confirm my numbers

Ohhh I dumped it. Let me go do it again. One second. It’s like 75 degrees last time I checked the temp. I don’t know what is considered swim able but my daughter is so excited I don’t think she would care. LOL

    Confirm my numbers

Is this 5 and 7.2? do I need to adjust the pH more? Summer Waves 14x42. CYA 40. Followed the seasonal pool instructions and used pool math.

    Got it up and filled

I started filling my Summer Waves 14’x42” yesterday afternoon. Continued filling this afternoon and it just finished at 11pm. I’m going to have to do the chemicals in the morning. Is there a step by step guide? I saw a guide for pools less than 3,000 gallons, but mine is bigger than that...

    Pool installation

If I would need to buy a tarp, and that would be around $65, should I just spend a little extra and just do the anti-fatigue foam from Harbor Freight? I could do the foam with no tarp right?? Would I need to tape this foam? I have seen a youtube video where they do not tape this type of foam...

    What a headache

I've watched a ton of videos and I have yet to find a video that shows the person sinking the pavers. Some of our pavers are massively thick. If I have him not put sand, I can use interlocking foam pads instead right? Tarp then foam? Or foam then tarp?

    What a headache

I just looked through Home Depot's website and cannot find pavers thicker than 2". Maybe I'm using the wrong terms. I may as well use the pavers we have left over from our driveway and patio. And I know this sounds like a ridiculous question, but how do you know where to put the pavers...

    What a headache

Ok so if he levels the ground, with a small layer of sand. Then what? Do I put the tarp or ground pad over the top of that? Or do I not need to do that at all? I've read many threads and my head is spinning with info, LOL.

    Chemicals question

Going to round up everything I need to get my pool up and the chemicals in. Is the Clorox line of pool chemicals at Walmart good? Not the tablets, but the Clorox brand of everything like Cyanuric Acid, etc? I'm trying to avoid our local Leslie's.

    What a headache

Still haven't gotten my pool set up. It's becoming such a headache and if my daughter didn't know I bought it, I would probably return it. I had one guy come quote me to level out the circle for a 14' pool, quoted me nearly $1000. Second guy came out and was like "it looks level, I think...
