    Got a small leak...

The boxer vinyl patch kit is excellent. I too just today in fact noticed a small rust spot mid way down in the wall of our pool. After wiping over the rust area water started seeping out the tiny hole. I got in with my mask and snorkel but couldn't see anything wrong with the liner let alone a...

They are great lights. Had one with our soft sided pool. It lit it up nicely.

    New deck for AGP

You have a beaded liner and it looks exactly how it's supposed to look. The beauty of a beaded liner is the top of the pool does not have to be disassembled to do a liner replacement. It just simply snaps into the bead reciever and hangs down into the pool. That is why the liner itself doesn't...

thinking about changing out ladder steps

Yes these steps are the confer curved. I forget that they make different styles and not every implemented idea works for every design. Glad you have them installed so you can start enjoying them. As for the 60" height I would imagine it has something to do with getting in and out off the top...

thinking about changing out ladder steps

So the 1 1/2“ or even 1 1/4" doesn't fit? It actually may have been 1 1/4" that I used for the shelf pieces as 1 1/2 does look too large looking at it and I'm almost positive now that it is 1 1/4" because I remember using the pipe for the previous pool's fountain which I made out of 1 1/4 pvc...

thinking about changing out ladder steps

No I didn't fill the support pvc. It's only about 3ft in length and it is pretty rigid. I decided on pea gravel and bleach for the weights just because in case they happened to break open while being put in and taken out that it would be easy to clean up. And bleach was added just to keep...

thinking about changing out ladder steps

It's going to be a personal preference. I don't use anything but mine has the 4 feet at each corner that are about 5" square and I can't think of a way to get a pad under each foot and keep it in place that doesn't also cover the entire footprint of the stairs themselves. Year 2 and no...

    24' Out of round

Unfortunately you do need to drain and then go all the way around and measure across at each upright and make sure it is as round as possible. Nudge and gently kick in and out around the wall as needed to get it all round. Then use a level and get each upright plumb at which point you can re...

    Liner questionm

No problem. It's better to be well informed going into it than blindly attempt something and have a potential catastrophic mess later on.

First time with well water, need advice on how to proceed

Some or that could still be very fine sediment particulate passing the filter too. But you definitely do have iron!! Just have to continue filling so you can start filtering out the iron. The bleach /chlorine will cause a lot to oxidize and fall out of suspension and end up on the bottom...

    Leaking PVC hose connections

Is it leaking where the flexible hose slides onto the pvc stand pipe or where the stand pipe is screwed into the pump/filter housing?

    Patio umbrella

For your cantilever on a deck you could always do what I did and mount it directly to the deck. Between the joist I have it heavily reinforced with 4x4 cross members that are lag screwed in secure. The actual base part of the umbrella that would normally bolt to the big metal X base is then...

thinking about changing out ladder steps

No I don't fill mine with sand, they remain empty. What I did was slide some 1.5" pvc pipe through the slots in the side of the stairs and thst makes a shelf for my pvc weights to lay on. They're 4" sewer pipe filled with pea gravel and bleach and the ends were glued on. They're about 20-22"...

thinking about changing out ladder steps

The confer stairs are great. Best investment so far. The 60" height is limited to the arms that secure them to the deck. That arm can only slide up so far before it will hit its limit. Oh and they also hold up to 400lbs. The adjustments that it speaks of refer to the feet that snap onto the...

The bead reciever is very rigid and takes the place of the stabilizer rails used with an overlap liner.

First time with well water, need advice on how to proceed

That almost looks like sediment being dredged up from pulling too much water from well too long. The brown yellow ting to the water is Def iron. Once chlorine is added the water may actually turn brown as it reacts with the iron. Unless you have a different fill source like city water then you...

    Liner questionm

I would imagine so. They'll also be more prone to fading faster. Mine is 3yrs old and this is a pic I just took for this post. It has faded some, used to be darker and more vivid and in the beginning there used to be a little bit of purple in some of the tiles like this which have now faded...

    Liner fit

I wouldn't think so. It's a new liner so it's still going to have a lot of flex and forgiveness in it. You can also try seating it with a shop vac inserted through the skimmer opening. Tape off the return and use some cardboard and tape the skimmer opening off around the shop vac hose. I did...

    Liner questionm

Ok I understand your thought now. We all have our ways of understanding things. But yes you need a 52" liner since your wall is 52". And you're right there are a ton of cool patterns and options for beaded liners as opposed to an overlap. Oh also make sure you order bead reciever that is for...

    Liner questionm

Not quite sure what you mean by clips?? For a beaded liner it goes into reciever/slot that is 4ft long piece that sits over the wall like this. It spans the entire circumference of the wall and the bead of the liner snaps down into it. When using a J-hook, the liner slips over the wall and...

    Liner fit

Mine wasn't quite centered when we did it and it was similar when filling. It was about 6-8" off the wall but as it filled it stretched into place just fine. It also was on the side that was baking in the sun so it was warm and that probably helped it out too.

    Liner questionm

They're called a bead reciever. And you need a 52" liner. It goes off of the actual wall height so if the wall itself is 52" then you use a 52" beaded liner, 54" for a 54" wall and 48" for 48.

    Incorrect installation

As a Casey said if you're within the 1 inch of level then it will be fine. Just watch the area closely and see if it changes, especially after any swimming or horseplay. It is possible the line is tight in that area and it will stretch over time. Plus the seam is like 6 or 8 layers thick of...

    Where did it go?

When water quickly turns to not as clear and the fc is gone that fast it usually is an indicator of organic matter rapidly growing. Best bet is to slam it and catch anything before it has a chance to get any worse.
