Ok, before I could get the video uploaded the igniter arrived. Installed it and fired right back up. Not sure if the old one was broken are not although dropped it while setting it down and it's definitely broken now (picture attached). Should I be on the look out for anything else going wrong...

What exactly would you be looking for in the video (so I get it right)? Water temperature looks right to me. In high 70s currently and set to high 80s.

Just took it out and it looks good to me (see attached)? Thoughts? Just replace? I'll get my multi-meter out shortly to try and test it.

No error on LED on the back, aside from LED 11 as originally mentioned. LED 9 is green if that makes any difference. Nothing on the Fenwall LED either (no light at all). Pictures attached. Any more ideas? Thanks!

We have a bit bigger partially covered patio and installed 2x 4,000 watt bromic heaters that we love. They cover the 25 foot wide patio and you can feel them 10-12 feet deep into the patio. Just gotta remember to turn them off at end of night because they burn through electricity!

Thanks all, I do plan to see if I can find deals over the off season. I would be a bit worried about warranty but if it’s a good deal I’ll grab one during winter. I don’t know all that much about pools but these things seem like the best thing since sliced bread. Happy the prior owners put it in!

That was/is my thought too. Just tested the water and the salinity is currently at 3600 ppm. It's a little over the "ideal" 3400 as indicated by the SWG but is it within "normal"/acceptable parameters? I am planning on using liquid chlorine for the remaining 3 weeks we have the pool open. Mind me asking what price you saw them at? I see amazon and other sites have them for $600-650. Not sure what retails is although Leslie's Pool quote just under $1,000.

Just checked manufacture date and it was 7/2010. So it's pretty old. I did a rough calculation and based on 12 hours/day for our pool season (about 4 months, although we have extended it the last 2 seasons), that does work out to 9-10-11 years.

Thanks all! Will use liquid chlorine now and likely try to wait until spring to replace the salt cell. We have used it for 3 swimming seasons but the owners before us that put it in used it for a few years prior so it's certainly lived a good life. Will check date but I imagine it's 5+ years old...

Thanks all. Took back apart and cleaned and put back together. Did get the new o-ring suggested and made sure all surfaces were dry and clean when I put back together. No more leak!

Ok, finally took the filter apart and did a full breakdown of the grids this time. Cleaned and inspected and nothing appears to be broken. I'm going to put it back together and call it a day and hope there are no further issues. Any other thoughts on what might have gotten into the heater??
