    Autofill chamber pipe is clogged...

So update, it appears the "drain" pipe that feeds the autofill chamber to the pool has definitely lost integrity as there is continual "root" material growing and clogging the pipe. The question is what type of professional would I use to "reclad" this pipe with a new smaller diameter pipe? I...

    Autofill chamber pipe is clogged...

Ive had an issue before where some plant material (mysteriously) is growing inside the pipe draining the autofill "pot" into the pool. Everything is underwater and the pool is chlorinated. Any tips on how to clear this material (a coat hanger doesn't work and neither does a jet of water from...

Variable Speed pumps are crazy expensive

Had an old dual speed pump die. Got a quote for a new upper end Jandy VS pump at almost 2000$!! It was 1700$ 3 months ago and at my old house 4 years ago 1100$ For pentair intelliflo. I get supply chain issues. Are these prices here to stay? Or should I just throw in a cheap rebuilt single...

    VS Pump Minimum Flow

So at rest. The pressure reads about 3 Psi. I can confirm at RPM of 3100 that the skimmer basket is drawing water steady and the weir door is full open.

    VS Pump Minimum Flow

Corrected my "signature". The salt cell is dead and is inactive. Back to use chlorine. But its still inline. And the heater. Well I live in AZ and the pool is 90 degree from June-Sept without any heat applied. The weir doors are working fine. But If I hold it "closed". The suction isn't even...

    VS Pump Minimum Flow

I have a 32500 galloon pool with Pentair VS Pump. Pump is below grade and a long run to the pool (about 50 feet). When I set it at a very low RPM <1800, I feel no appreciable movement of water from the 6 different outlets but I do see water movement in the filter basket (barely) and movement of...

Circulate water through my pool heater or completely bypass?

So currently my VS pump push water through a bypass and doesn't go through the pool heater. I am wondering if still water in the pool heater will lead to corrosion/build up faster than if it moves through. Also would seem a small improvement in flow since the inflow would be going through the...

Clearwater LM2 Flow Sensor Not working

So I noticed today my SWG, Clearwater LM2, flow sensor is not working. If I turn the system on and have the pump off with absolutely NO flow the low flow light does NOT come on and the unit just keeps producing and slowly builds up gas in the cell. I recently had to switch some control features...
