I am running a Pentair vs speed pump and will have a valve on return and inlet for sure. That’s a conversation I’ve already had! As far as sanitation, I am going to be using chlorine poured in until I get an injection pump next season.

I have an Aquasport 52 17x32 pool being installed this weekend. My installer just mentioned that for $300 he can install a main drain in the pool. My question since I’m a first time pool owner is what are the benefits of it and is it with the extra cost? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

For this season, I plan to use the puck style chlorination. Next year, my plan is to install a chlorine injection pump. My preference would be a swg but the manufacturer says no due to this pool being aluminum slat wall construction.
