Same. I have the retrofit kit as well. Fully installed it a few weeks ago and like Jack mentioned, wifi setup was part of the initial configuration.

During the install there were indications that it is potentially compatible just that you have to adjust some wiring (there was a sticker on the wiring block refering to alternate instructions for On-Command/E-Command). Also, you may need to purchase a newer power transformer.

Yeah, sorry I can't type. To be more clear, plumbing a Hayward heat pump in series with a gas/solar heater can void the warranty.

And Hayward specifically calls out that a heat pump and gas/solar heater must be plumbed in parallel to each other in order to void the warranty of the heat pump.

Any reason why your heaters are plumbed in series? This might be an opportunity to install some bypass valves and reconfigure the heater plumbing into a parallel setup.

Ok looks like someone else has already done this successfully in another thread, but it did require another part. The transformer which then technically makes your system SWG enabled. Just add salt cell. :)...

Do you have a SWG? There really isn't anything magical about the OmniPL upgrade from a P-4, PS-4, etc. Mostly just a board swap. Might be worth a call to Hayward direct or a local Hayward sales rep.

Whelp, I pulled the trigger and got mined ordered today. Now I wait for the parts to arrive. I'll post back after I get everything installed and booted up. Might be a bit since we are still in the thick of cold weather here in the midwest.

I'm actually wanting to do this upgrade. I'm just not sure if I have enough equipment to justify the cost of the upgrade. I only have the VSP, salt cell, and heater. I also wish I could do the upgrade myself (did the full install the first time myself) without losing the warranty.

Just out of curiosity, did you have this done as the upgrade kit to an existing Aqua Plus setup? How much was it? Did you do a self install?
