Found my suction leak...easiest way to fix?

But I think I have 2" threads. The part you shared seems to be for 2" pipe, but 1.5" threads to go into the pump, but I should be able to find the part now. Thanks! Edit: I believe this this the one I need...

Found my suction leak...easiest way to fix?

Looking at that part...I think I understand... I cut the 2" pipe, remove the threaded part from the pump. Put the union onto the remaining pipe, and thread the part into the pump, and then connect em together? That doesn't seem too bad!

Found my suction leak...easiest way to fix?

I did work with pvc to install my swg last summer, so I'm comfortable with that, I guess I'm just not certain on taking the pump off. The leak is in fact where the 2" pipe is threaded into the pump.

Found my suction leak...easiest way to fix?

So my big suction leak is coming from where the pipe feeds into the pump. Is there a way to attempt to fix this without replacing the pvc? I'd really like to try some things before it comes to that if I can. If not, what would be a reasonable cost to have a pool company fix it when I get a...

    Finding seals/oring kits for pump

So on the filter pump - the variable speed pentair with the matching motor, I found the date - Sept 2018. The water feature pump has wisperflow wet side, with that black motor which is not a pentair (us motors/emerson). That's the one that remains a mystery. Here's the pic you requested. But...

    Finding seals/oring kits for pump

Hello, Note - all the equipment was here when I got the house a couple years ago, I have no clue when it was installed, or any history of the pumps. For the water feature pump - I have a US Motors 1081 Pool motor, connected to the wet side of a pentair 011515 (whisperflow?). The pump doesn't...

Can I wire a timer for my swg to the line on the existing t104?

Sorry I was unclear - yes I do want to add a 2nd t104 in the box since I have that slot for it. What I was trying to ask is, instead of running a new circuit from the breaker to the box, can I piggy back off the existing line? Essentially running both the feature pump and swg off the same...

Can I wire a timer for my swg to the line on the existing t104?

Hello, I have an existing intermatic t104, however, it is for my water feature pump, not for my filter pump. My filter pump is a pentair VSP, with its own built in timer/scheduler. In any case, can I essentially Daisy chain off line/leads from the existing t104 into a new t104 so I have a...

    Newbie replumb help/suggestions

So I've decided to get an swg, but will have to replumb this section to go vertical (or would it be ok to go off to the left? Would I have to have any support under it if I did shoot about 18" to the left?) There problem is, there's not really a good place to cut for me to simply put a 90 bend...

    Wanting to switch to SWG

Yeah I've slammed more out of precaution when I forgot or was unable to tend to Chlorine for 3+ days and fc dropped below 1. It's always been sparkling since following tfp!

    Wanting to switch to SWG

Cool. Most I want to run my pump is 18 hours, but it is VS. or the occasional 24 he boost, but I'm not worried about supplementing with liquid when I need to slam.

Looks like his might have been 18k or 19k gallons Edit: 17k according to his poolmath

    Wanting to switch to SWG

Thanks Jim. I know it's never bad to go bigger, but it would come to about 20% more upfront cost. I'll have to weigh the difference, but the extra cost would probably be made up for in pump run time eventually.

    Wanting to switch to SWG

I'm not sure what a blade valve is? The valve next to the filter is the push/pull valve for backwashing.

    Wanting to switch to SWG

The other pump is for a water feature. The distance is about 13" front to back, and about 5" left to right.

    Wanting to switch to SWG

Here's another pic from overhead. I'm afraid I don't have room to cut. Do I have to cut somewhere past the valve, and replace all that? Or how would you replumb this to add in an swg (looking for the easiest way for the amateur, that has only watched others do it, and not actually done any...
