Tops are tied off, I guess the stream is just that strong. Yup, I plan to let it run 24 hours and will brush floor tomorrow morning in-case of any residue.

Now that you say that I'm wondering if that's the case. I feel like the previous owners didn't have the water up to the top step and maybe over time that's what happened.

So I'm trying the sock method as everyone recommend, however, it seems to be coming out of the socks at a fairly decent rate, is this normal? Placed in front of return jet (the pool has a Aqua Genie).

I guess I should add my CYA is at 15 so I did order stabilizer and my chlorine levels are almost 0, not sure why I said perfect, apologies. Water is clear just not balanced right yet.

Hi everyone, new pool owner here. Had to replace the vinyl liner recently, refilled the pool with hose water. Everything appears to be good with water chemistry however my top (and only top) step seems to be yellow. Any help on how to clear this up would be greatly appreciated! See attached...
