I owe these forums a lot of money. Fixed my heater, now I need to address the cover.

Between fixing my swamp condition, getting advice on 'alternative' chemicals to my local pool store's pricing, and now saving me at least $150 by replacing a $15 sensor in my heater, I think I'd be one frustrated pool owner otherwise. Now, what to do about my cover? A large branch fell onto it...

    DE Filter pressure

I'm in the middle of a SLAM, and have my Hayward DE3620 filter running. I am not sure if it's actually working right, or if the pressure gauge is not working right. At 2150RPM on my pump, the gauge reads 6psi. At higher RPM, the gauge rises as I would expect. When I check the filter later...

How much trouble am I in for?

The contractor who was supposed to put concrete around my pool split with my money. Because I didn't have concrete last year as promised, my pool went uncovered last winter. I did get the pipes plugged before winter. It went unused this summer since we just had a baby and my oldest was away...

    "New" Pool

Long story short, I bought a house with a pool and I am feeling like it's the worst mistake I ever made. Pool was full, needed a new pump. Water was green at final walk through, which was OK, as pool was closed at the time (August) because the house was long-term vacant. Concrete around the...
