Update! pool service showed up today and was miffed! He was going to let the ‘pollen’ fall to the bottom and vacuum it out! Ooops! We’ll see how long her pool stays clear, if at all, after the vacuum!

How is CYA lost? I was under the impression that the only way to lower CYA was to drain, or be turned to ammonia?

Definitely could be testing error- there has been no water exchange. Still practicing and also have a speedstir incoming. Ill test again this evening with the speed stir and report back.

Redding will get very very hot. We are already looking at low 90’s this week and in the peak of summer heat, we will go several weeks at a time in the 110+ range! Pool does not get full sun all day, more like 5 hours of direct sunlight.
