I placed the spa today & the spa shell looks warped. What y'all think?

Vinyl 18x36 on the way. Here is the gameplan!

I ordered a hydrapools steel pool kit from Pool Warehouse & worst experience I've ever had. All of the skimmer holes had to be re-cut, returns & light holes were not correct size & the liner track on my steps was 1/4" too small. Neither company has been helpful in resolving the issue & won't...

Spill over spa install & placement.

I have recently installed a 16x36 steel walled pool and have an 89" round spa to install along the side. I have figured out the plumbing but unsure if the spa should be placed on a bed of sand or the 57 stone I used for the backfill of the pool. I have read about stone, over time pushing through...

    DIY (mostly) inground vinyl 16x36

I'm in the middle of completing a Diy in Alabama. I've learned a lot on this forum & will be glad to answer any questions but you can find most answers from the experts here. Save some money & do the liner yourself.

Need Plumbing advice since my pool builder decided to disappear.

I like the idea but have wondered if I should route all water through the heater for the very few freezing days we get in Alabama. Don't know if I will ever "close" the pool when winter comes but would like to continue to use spa all season. - - - Updated - - - Since the pool builder has...

Need Plumbing advice since my pool builder decided to disappear.

I have just discovered that my spa has way more connections than I anticipated. It has the following connections: *To recirculating pump *Deep heat returns *To Jets *To therapy pump *From Blower (I know what this one does) Should I scrap my original diagram & do I need another pump?

Need Plumbing advice since my pool builder decided to disappear.

I read that when the pump is not running, chlorine gas could go back into the heater causing damage. (Reason for check valve at heater)

Need Plumbing advice since my pool builder decided to disappear.

Meadow, I looked at the post you sent but was still confused with the make up line for the spa. The diagram also didn't show a SWG plumbed in adding some more confusion. I searched through the many posts here & figured most of the plumbing out but this whole process has become stressful and time...

Need Plumbing advice since my pool builder decided to disappear.

Thanks for all the help Jason. When the pool builder disappeared it has left me to figure it out. I'm a handy DIYer but want to make sure my pool/spa are plumbed correctly.

Need Plumbing advice since my pool builder decided to disappear.

Yes, the spa water level will be above the pool water level. I will put a check valve on spa return but still confused on how to plumb the makeup line. Do I need a makeup line?

Need Plumbing advice since my pool builder decided to disappear.

Yes, it is a spillover spa I just haven't removed it from the crate. I only see 2 lines (return & suction) I probably need to get inside crate & see if there are more lines. - - - Updated - - - Thanks for the advice. I will add them.

My pump & heater both have union fitting's built-in. Should I add additional unions? Thanks for the help.

Where do I plumb in the spa make up line at the pad & spa? My spa is still in the crate but only appears to have a return & suction pipe. also, do I need a check valve somewhere so spa doesn’t drain out when pump is off? thanks for the advice so far.

Need Plumbing advice since my pool builder decided to disappear.

I'm in the middle of a pool build and the builder I was using has disappeared. I need to get water moving & finish up some plumbing. Here is what has been completed: *Pool is in the ground with liner installed and water still below the skimmers. (No backfill in overdig but footer is poured) *All...

Plumbing location question & why is plumbing run along bottom of pool wall?

Kim, I will post a picture tomorrow. I'm basically wondering why my plumbing was ran in the bottom of the overdig instead of level with return & skimmer (both are halfway down the wall)

Plumbing location question & why is plumbing run along bottom of pool wall?

Pool medic seems to understand what I'm asking. I'm thinking of re-plumbing my pool to get rid of some of the unneeded 90 degree connectionns. If I ran the plumbing at same height as returns & skimmers everything would flow more efficiently

Plumbing location question & why is plumbing run along bottom of pool wall?

In the middle of a DIY vinyl pool and getting some help from a local pool builder & have a question about the plumbing he completed. He ran all plumbing in the bottom of the over-dig. My question is, why not run it at the height of the returns or bottom of shimmer? Basically, as soon as you...

Hello from Alabama. About to attempt a DIY pool & spa install.

Kim, I plan to plum the system to go into spa only mode so it should stop circulating/spilling over into pool and only heat the water. I will use a valve & actuator to divert water but welcome any advice.

Pump selection for pool & spill over spa

Thanks for the response. I will use a SWCG to chlorinate. So far I'm building my automation system around the Hayward Omnilogic. I have purchased a Jandy 3 way vale & a Hayward actuator to control the system. I was told I need 2 pumps but a single pump system seems the simplest one to plumb &...
