    North Texas Budget Build

Nice design. If you use the spa primarily in winter that's a long journey back to the house :)

    Wrong plaster installed

We had a similar issue and had them re-do the plaster, and actually used the opportunity to upgrade the finish at a greatly reduced price since we didn't really like our original choice. Worked out great. We also had the PB reimburse us for refilling the pool since we knew what it cost to...

    Design software

Design should be free and part of the PB sales process. We sat down with ours for ages and worked through everything, making changes, adding, removing... Zero cost :) I'm interested to hear if others have paid...

    New build in Frisco TX

I think we are stuck with the problem. They can lower the spillway which would drop the water level in the spa, and so sitting in a spa with water half way up our chest wouldn't be good. Or they could completely cut the top off and redo everything, raising the height. I have lots of pictures...

New Pool Build Fort Worth TX

Love the colour too, and water features are great! Where did they get those strainer covers, I love them! As soon as they do the mastic, check to make sure it's not on any of the rock, we had a problem and I've heard of others too. Easy to fix if you catch it while it's wet. :)

New Pool Build Fort Worth TX

Strange that they filled it before putting mastic around the edge... However wow, that's one heck of a fast build - took them 12 weeks in north Dallas, they always had excuses :(

    New build in Frisco TX

Ah yes, looks like a Hobert pool where the water is too high in the spa due to construction design. When the blower is turned on the water flows out over the edges, not just the spillway. They did that to ours too and haven't got a solution. They put a three-way Jandy valve on the blower pipe to...

    Pentair INTELLIFLO VS+SVRS Drive

Thanks for the response Jim. When the PB service guy came to fix another issue I told him the pump errored all the time, especially when trying to prime. Just like you say, any surge shut it down. He told me that Pentair fixed that problem and he scheduled the drive replacement. They came out...

    Pentair INTELLIFLO VS+SVRS Drive

How do I know if the drive on my INTELLIFLO VS+SVRS pump is the latest version? The PB installed a new drive (part number 356910Z) because the pump kept shutting down, but how do I know they didn't install an old version that may not be covered under warranty? Can you tell I'm not very trusting...

Infinity pool - Low end Adjustment

It's probably one of those things where you will always notice because you are aware of what was done. I can't see anything in the pics either so I'm guessing it may not be that visible in person? I hope so anyway :)

    Stain Removal Advice

Well yeah, sorry, I do use sanitizer. I didn't mention that cause it's a given, dontcha know <said in North Dakota voice LOL> I use the 2" tablets and adjust based on pool readings; pool is absolutely clear (unfortunate cause the stains are more visible) :)

    Stain Removal Advice

Brand new pool, only eight weeks since it's been filled and since day 1, this stain has been getting worse and is around the entire pool (see photo). Nothing added to the water (tap water to fill), just a little muriatic acid twice. Pool builder doesn't know what caused it. The pool builder...

    Spa Blower too Powerful?

Are you saying a well designed spa doesn't need a blower (air), just water jets? - - - Updated - - - Thanks, yes, by using smaller inlets I already found the blower motor will shut off so the only way I see is to relieve air pressure. The Jandy seems like overkill though :)

    Spa Blower too Powerful?

Thanks for the quick response. I don't think I can use a Jandy valve because the air is mixed at the spa. I'm thinking I need a way to release some pressure near the blower motor. Here's a picture of how they built the spa...

    Spa Blower too Powerful?

New pool and they installed a 220 V 1.5 HP 4.5 A 60 Cycle 120 CFM Silencer Air Blower for the spa/hot tub. Line is 2" and the six inlets in the spa are 1". Problem is that the air pressure is so strong the water bubbles over the top of the spa when it is turned on. I replaced the 1" with 1/2"...

Jumping in from DFW, and a question of course :)

Hi, this looks like a great forum with tons of info so I'm looking forward to participating. Thanks for the ad :) Just had a new in-ground pool built and it's been up and running for just on two weeks now, and seeing the flow of water I'm wondering if we were oversold on equipment. It's not a...
