What does your pool paradise look like?

We like shade so it's all about the patio cover. Just finished construction on the cover in this shot so there's no furniture in the pic.

Yes, sun glasses poolside and tinted swim goggles are highly recommended. Love mine!

    Enjoying our trouble free pool

True. While at the pool store yesterday I felt compelled to save a couple people but started getting dirty looks from the maniger. Oh well...

    Enjoying our trouble free pool

I have really enjoyed the pride and satisfaction of learning to care for my pool. I get complements all the time on its clarity. Every time I go to the pool store I hear someone's story of algee and their frustration with their pool service. I offer to help and give reference to this forum but I...

Submersible pump left a rust stain.

I have read about using vitamin C and will try that. I will definitely put the pump in or on something next time.

Submersible pump left a rust stain.

Didn’t expect my submersible pump to leave a rust stain. Kind of bummed out because my plaster is less than two years old.

I gifted that cutting board to one of my cousins. Most of the small boxes and cutting boards I have made where gifted to Aunts, Uncles, cousins and other family members. Large furniture items stay here in my home.

Thank you. I'm pretty full up on family members right now but I'll keep you in mind. I have a facebook page for my woodworking if anyone would like to see more of my work. https://m.facebook.com/Woodcreationsbydewayne/

Thanks, that sounds interesting and I do like jerky. The problem with jerky though is once you eat it it's gone forever. [emoji6][emoji38]

Thats some mighty fine work. I love making small boxes but mine are pretty basic as far as hardware and removable trays and such. I recently made 12 boxes and gave them to family for Christmas.

Who does woodworking? Post your projects here!

Thanks, lets just say I'm pretty serious about my hobby. I work 55+ hours a week driving a garbage truck and don't do any commission work. Just for family. Wish I had more time and retirement is coming soon. The shop structure set me back 40K so I figured why not add the dust collection for...

Solar Breeze Skimmer Robot: great so far

I wouldn’t mind having a robotic skimmer but reviews I read about this one are terrible. Many are saying the plastic begins to warp and crack after only one or two years and eventually rendering the machine useless.

I am a hobby woodworker. Had a nice little shop built right next to the pool. Some days it’s hard to decide, air-conditioned shop or the pool.

    Sump pump on/off question

Vertical float switch is the way to go. Picked one up at Home Depot and made a quick set up with supplies I had laying around. Crude but should work perfectly. Thanks!

    Sump pump on/off question

Here are a couple pictures of the float switch. Too late to return the pump as I bought it months ago and just stored it until now.

    Sump pump on/off question

I just want to automatically pump off excess water due to rain without having to monitor the pool level and shut on/off the pump manually. The float switch the pump comes with requires about 6 inches of travel to activate the switch on/off. I want to control the pool level within 1-2 or 3 inches...

    Sump pump on/off question

So I bought the little giant No. 6 series 1/3 hp pump. It comes with a float switch but I determined the pool level would have to rise and fall about 6 inches to activate the switch. This much travel to activate the switch is way too much. I want to pump water out of my pool when the level rises...

Palaro's filter canister cracked, on the verge of catastrophic failure

Palaro's filter canister cracked, on the verge of catastrophic failure

The new filter canister has arrived. Incredibly fast I might add.

Thought I was going to get away with it....

It's for that same reason my kids will no longer check and empty the skimmer basket for me.

Palaro's filter canister cracked, on the verge of catastrophic failure

I like what you did with the drain. I need to set something like that up. Tired of unscrewing that darn plug.

Palaro's filter canister cracked, on the verge of catastrophic failure

I am hoping so and pretty positive about it. The new canister does have 2 inch fittings. I ordered it today and I should be here in 5 to 7 business days.
