    Water cloudy from dog swimming?

Moved from here. I'm having the same issue with our pool. FC 4.5, CC 0, PH 7.3. Can a dog swimming in the pool cause the cloudiness? That's the only difference bewteen this year and all the previous years and the pool always had that sparkle. Now it's dull and slightly cloudy. We got a...

Semi-Inground construction and deck bridging house to pool - ideas?

You can see what we did in the Electrical pole post I posted earlier. We were all set to do the digging and building of the pool ourselves until I dislocated my left shoulder last March. (still haven't done anything with it except get it back in place). We found a local company that came out...

    Electrical pole help

I am aware of that. That end of the electrical is not of a major concern. I'm more interested in seeing how others have handled the electrical at the pool end. The post farthest from the edge of the pool is a little over 6ft away so it is in spec as far as outlets go. And on the ends of the...

    Electrical pole help

Well, we got the new deck in. I still need to finish the skirting and add some storage areas underneath. What I'm wondering is how people have handled the electrical side of things. Below are a few pictures of what we are working with. There is an unused AC cutoff located on the corner of...

first winter with new AGP in north Texas

Thanks Splash. We are north of Dallas about an hour south of the OK border so not near the panhandle. I'm not all that crazy about a cover. I firmly believe that is what caused the premature rusting on the old Intex. Maybe I'll just lower the water level so I can drain the filter and pump...

first winter with new AGP in north Texas

I'm a bit confused on how/what I should do for the winter here in north Texas. We are located roughly one hour south of Oklahoma north of Dallas and I'm wondering if I need to lower the water level and put a tight meshed cover on for leaves and stuff or just leave it up and running over the...

Pool Robot Cleaner Recommendations for my size pool help needed

Well, the Dolphin E10 quit working yesterday. So I got this mid May and here it is first of August. 2 1/2 months...... Doesn't seem like such a good deal now. Does anyone know if it's easy to tell if it's the controller or the robot itself? Guess I need to contact the seller. :(

Pool Robot Cleaner Recommendations for my size pool help needed

I just ordered an E10 from Poolpartz also along with the ultra fine filter basket. I miss not being able to have the skimmer running at the same time as the vacuum as I had a dedicated vacuum port on the old Intex pool.

Salt - 3000 (just had a bunch of rain) FC - 12 (high) CC - 0 TA - 210 (real high) CYA - 70 PH - 7.5 I've added, I believe, 4 gals of Muriatic acid already...

    Pool math question

We are putting in a new 24ft Saltwater 8000 from the Pool Factory in the coming weeks and I've been looking at Pool Math to get an idea of how much salt, CYA, etc I'm going to need. I'm really confused at the amount of bleach it's telling me I need. 80 oz? Really? That cannot be anywhere...

    Plugging Intex 1-1/4" outlet

Why not just use it or make it a vacuum port like I did with our old Intex pool?

*PICS INCLUDED!* Leveling for my upcoming Intex Pool...

Your slope doesn't look much different than ours. In the pics below you can see where the old Intex pool was and where we are planning to put the new 24 ft pool. I am going to borrow my neighbors BobCat to do the majority of the digging. I used another neighbors tractor and FEL to do most of...

    Intex lack of stock...

According to the box it has a 50% stronger liner and 53% stronger frame. Plus a 2 year warranty. Wonder if that includes the use of a SWG. Our Intex Ultra Frame only lasted 2 1/2 seasons. The posts were so rusted from covering it in the winter it was not safe.

    New AGP going in

I remember seeing this and thus the change to the filter. "I have a rule of thumb for cartridge pool filters: 100 sq. ft. of filter surface area per 10,000 gallons of pool water, as a minimum." So, the pool we are looking at is 13,600 gals. The filter is 190 sq ft. According to the "long...

    New AGP going in

I made a couple of changes with the pump and SWG. I'm now looking at the Aqua Pro 190 Cartridge filter. It is a 190 sq ft, 2HP, 2 speed. And I'm now looking at the Solaxx Saltron Reliant SWG. It is rated for up to 25,000 gals. The pool again is a 24ft round x 54" high with a calculated...
