Well, we got the new deck in. I still need to finish the skirting and add some storage areas underneath. What I'm wondering is how people have handled the electrical side of things. Below are a few pictures of what we are working with. There is an unused AC cutoff located on the corner of the house that I would like to replace with a small breaker box to run the electrical out to the pool. I've also attached a picture of the setup I used last year and just ran an extension cord, 12 AWG, out to the pool. I also want to add a proper timer to the setup. Could you post up some pics of your electrical setups?

Can you open up the A/C Electrical Box and have a look inside? Most A/C installations I have seen are run without a Neutral wire (2-110V, 1-Ground) which would present a challenge attempting to use it on a circuit that will require neutral. If you have extra space in your main panel, you may be able to reuse the wire, but you would likely need to add or replace the current circuit breaker for that circuit. Either way, you will NEED to make sure that every outlet you have on the circuit will be protected by a GFCI.

I am aware of that. That end of the electrical is not of a major concern. I'm more interested in seeing how others have handled the electrical at the pool end. The post farthest from the edge of the pool is a little over 6ft away so it is in spec as far as outlets go. And on the ends of the deck I want to add/create storage areas for "stuff". With that in mind, I'm not sure where to mount the SWCG, outlets, switches, etc. I'm not crazy on the idea of having to sink a separate post.
