Summer Waves Elite with SFX 1000 pump. Can I run the pump full time?

I had a 17' summerwaves with that same pump. I ran it 24/7 for four months straight. I had six filters and swapped them out on rotation two a day. Two in use, two being cleaned and two as backup. As long as the pump is running it will do a barely adequate job. That was the first summer we had...

    Filter options

get a two speed pump with sand filter rated for the size pool that your going to get next year. it will be overkill on the frame pool, but thats what im using on a 17' frame now. the piping is simple.

Possible to Only replace the body of the skimmer on AGP?

I would just replace it. Amazon sells the entire thing with all the parts and then youll have spares. fixing it with epoxy will just delay the inevitable. i installed one with a full pool and it was a frame pool last year!

if you can get the taylor 2006k thru amazon that will get u thru two seasons of pool chems. if you bury the paver just at ground level it will not bother the liner, cause your going to have two layers of tarp over it. mine is directly on concrete. last year the concrete was new so i tarped it...

Installing replacement liner inside of Intex 18' metal frame

Stick with intex! Don't be tempted with Summer waves and cheap prices at the end of the season! That's what I did and summer waves are inferior to intex pools!

    Drowning!!

The draining option will put you back to swimming faster, if the cost is less than buying alot of liquid bleach. My Ace true value has it for $1.99 gallon, Wally world is 2.50 or so. If draining you must scrub and sanitize to be rid of the algae!

    Rectangular intex pool deep end

The way these are made a deep end will not work. The stresses have to be equally distributed across the length and width of pool.

Adding chemicals to above ground pool without a skimmer

I added cya a few days ago by sock method! I've had so much rain here in FL that my cya was almost zero! From the constant daily draining!

Calcium Silicate deposits on Intex Ultra Frame liner

In my aquariums coralline algae is good, when a tank needs cleaned we use vinegar. It would work on your calcium buildup too

    Pressure side blockage

I think the flex PVC is constricted. It might of collapsed. That would be like a kink in your line and drastically reduce your output. I say run a new line of regular PVC.

    Water won't clear!

Swing over to pool school and read up on the SLAM. Your FC should be in the double digits to slam it and clear it. If your commitment to the pool is true, then stay here and never step foot in a pool store again. All you need is BBB. Bleach, borax, baking soda, and some stabilizer. If it was...

    Very confused

Can you afford to drain and fill? Maybe a complete start over with a clean pool and fresh water that you can adjust with cya, salt and bleach and then follow the regular directions on the salt system?

Best underlayment for concrete pad for frame pool

Too late! I just went to harbor freight and picked up a 19x39 tarp on memorial day with a extra 25% off for a grand total of $40. I doubled it and set up the pool. Borax, bleach and some cya for the intial startup and whee! --We are two months ahead of last years start!
