Closer and closer each day

Looking really good today except for the overnight storm debris.

Another day of storms and rain but another day of improvement. Wen can see the main drain in the deep and sparkles on the floor in the shallow. Getting close. Hopefully we can get a break in the weather soon. Gotta love May in Oklahoma.

Man what a difference deep cleaning the filter has made. The pool is showing great results now. We can see the bottom halfway to the deep.

Also, if you haven’t watched his YouTube videos you need to. It’s a great tutorial.

After another barrage of storms and cleaning debris out in the middle of one this morning the pool is looking a tad better. Following the steps by @Smykowski i deep cleaned the filter this morning. Looked like lake water coming out of it for a good 45 minutes. So hopefully that helps.

We’ve also had a couple storms and no sun for a few days so that hasn’t helped any.

No I ended up getting a used Hayward VS pump from a local guy. Set up the timer and speeds I wanted and leave it alone. Extremely quiet and works great.

If you have kids I recommend swapping out the spa with more pool/swimming space and making the deep end deeper with a diving board. Just my .02

Why did the plaster take a beating? Did you not put a tarp or something down to protect it? That’s one expensive investment to subject to a beating. Maybe I misunderstood.

Sounds like you need to avoid both liners OP. That’s some bad luck Melissa. Hope they take care of you and make it right.

I will definitely confirm every step and material before we commit to anything.
