Replacement cell for Jandy Aquapure 1400

Solved! Thank you PoolGate! Your comment that the salt cell had no electronics got me thinking I need to reset the system somehow for iAqualink to recognize the new salt cell. I shut off the main breaker to the panel and that did the trick. Full control of the saltcell now on the iAqualink app...

Replacement cell for Jandy Aquapure 1400

Yes, replaced with equivalent 1400 cell. Below is the link of the cell I purchased. Same model referenced in the thread earlier. I'll try changing the salt level at the LCD panel as everything seems to be working there. Just so odd that iqualink doesn't recognize the cell if there are no...

Below is a pic of the power connection in the panel. Disconnected the old Jandy 1400 power cable and plugged in the CompuPool connectors that are hardwired to the cell.

Replacement cell for Jandy Aquapure 1400

I just installed the CompuPool salt cell to replace my Jandy 1400 salt cell that died because of corroded power connections within the cell. Happy to report, the install was extremely easy as other have mentioned! I did have a question if anyone is using the Jandy iAqualink automation with the...

Gray Harbor Mini Pebble - Lots of Pics

It is a glass tile but our builder said it was priced the same as standard tile. Just had to pay extra for installation. It is from Tile Xpressions and the name of it is Caribbean Sea Aquamarine. Hope that helps.

    "Build COMPLETE!"-Central FL pool build

Re: *Build Underway* - Central FL Pool Build I'd recommend a dedicated return line to the spa, this way you won't have to run the jets for the spill over. I also use the spa return line to heat the spa quicker, without the aeration of the jets, with my heat pump. The spa return is finished with...

Re: *Build Underway* - Central FL Pool Build No problem. Ask away! :) The Jandy automation spill-over mode returns all the water (from the pool/spa) through my jets. I can also manually adjust the flow to just the spa return (without bubbler pipe) and get a full sheet of water over the...

Re: *Build Underway* - Central FL Pool Build Hi Foos, 3 pipes are going to channel drain. It's funny since I didn't even notice they plumbed the middle connection, until you mentioned it. Not sure of the reason for the middle pipe. Here is a link to the type of drain they used in the spa and...

South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - STARTUP PHASE

Re: South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - DIG Phase Looks great Brian! Awesome layout from the wide spa, wrap around steps, and the amount bench seating. Now that the shell is in, what do you think of the benches? From the pics, it looks like the perfect amount of seating. - Alex

Re: *Build Underway* - Central FL Pool Build Here is a pic of the shelf return right before they plastered. PB added a grey fitting to the pipe after the plaster. Not sure of the pvc size, but it's definitely smaller than the rest of the PVC returns. I have more pictures of the pipe during...

South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - STARTUP PHASE

Re: South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - DIG Phase Brian, Definitely bring this up to the PB today. Not sure which pattern you are going with in your travertine deck, but any horizontal deck joints will follow the angle of the pool. The angle will become very apparent as the deck comes up...

Gray Harbor Mini Pebble - Lots of Pics

I wanted to create this post because I searched high and low for examples of water color and everyone's pictures were very helpful. We ended up going with a product called Aqua Pearl Mini Pebble in Gray Harbor by Magic Marcite - http://www.magicmarciteinc.com/aquapearlmini.php. They...

Re: *Build Complete* - Central FL Pool Build Yes, the two pool lights are centered and look to be the same height as well. I kinda wish the shallow end light (left handside) was a foot higher to light up the shelf a bit more, but I'm nit picking. I'm really glad we went with two lights in the...

Re: *Build Underway* - Central FL Pool Build Thanks for asking Brian. Water is crystal clear now :) I've been testing daily along with the PB and everything seems to be in line. I would highly recommend to brush your plaster even if they acid wash. PB said I didn't need to brush with an acid...

Conflicting Info on Shelf Depth and Bubbler Effectiveness

Hi Brian, For the pic below, I split water flow between my spa overflow and the bubblers. The Jandy Epump 1.5hp was running at 2750 rpm's (max is 3450). 2'' piping running to the bubblers. My shelf is in 6'' of water and at this speed I'm able to get the bubblers 2ft above the water line. I...

South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - STARTUP PHASE

Re: South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - Demo Phase Looks good Brian. One thing I'd check is the type of valves PB will be using. Make sure they are Jandy never lubes. I like how they are plumbing a heater bypass. Wish my pb would have done the same.

Re: *Build Underway* - Central FL Pool Build Only have one 1.5hp Jandy EPump running the whole pool! That's what had me worried about getting a decent waterfall, but the PB assured me they would get the water to sheet over the large spillway. Used 3'' plumbing for spa return and jets. The...

Re: *Build Underway* - Central FL Pool Build Yes, step works great! We originally didn't have a step in the plan and adding it last minute during the gunite shoot. Very happy we did, since it is much easier to get in as opposed to sitting on the coping and pivoting in. We asked to make it...

Florida pool child safety law compliance

Yes, inspectors will check if your backyard fence is to code. i.e. 2'' maximum clearance underneath all areas of the fence and the gate requirements. You still need alarms on all windows that are facing the pool. Just follow the link above and you should be all set for inspections. Good luck!

Florida pool child safety law compliance

New install Jandy RS-4 Automation - SWG controls at the panel?

Thank you Pool Clown! I removed the two screws on the top of the panel to see what's back there and lo and behold. . . I found the A/P controller hidden underneath! I wonder why the electrician didn't remove the knock out. I was very worried I was getting old stock and very relieved to find it...

New install Jandy RS-4 Automation - SWG controls at the panel?

Hello, I have a question for Jandy automation owners with a SWG. My PB just finished installing all electronic components on my build and noticed I don't have a SWG user interface on the panel. I've seen a small LCD SWG user interface in the recessed box to the left of the RS-4 controls. Link to...
