Not sure why they advised against it. Ours was planned from the beginning and a hole was left in the gunite. They then put the holder in and filled around it with plaster. Don't see how there would be a structural issue to the pool. Do you have to duck it to get in, yes. When it's 100 degrees is...

We did the intellibrite low voltage and they provide good light coverage. They could do 2 of the spa sized for the price of one larger one. That said we have 4 in the pool and one in the spa. I would put one on the sun shelf and one between the corner of the "L" and the bench. It also appears...

So after much delay we are finally mostly done. Just landscaping to go. Here's some shots from the patio tonight. The fire is set about 1/2 of what it will go to. They get ridiculous if I want them too, which is just right for me. Also got the TV setup over the weekend.

Let me see your pebble/water - Need help deciding

Here is line right now. It's kinda cloudy today. It is the plaster and stones from Wet Edge Eclipse, with the glass from Wet Edge Deep Sea Blue. I would say our water color in person is a deep bright blue with a hint of turquoise. As you can see, even with clouds blocking the sun the bottom is...

Re: New Build - IG Pool/Spa/Grotto - Little Elm,TX upd 08/13 Blue Granite looks teal? I'm thinking it will start to turn blue with chemicals. Ours had a bit of a turquoise tint before chemicals as well. You could also turn on the olympics and atleast say your water looks better than the...

It looks like cast iron from the pics. And that would make sense that it would rust with a little rain. It should really be stainless and brass in our climate. Here's a picture of what they are using for mine.

There's one down the street from me and that's where I got some of these plant ideas from.....the gentleman helping me was extremely knowledgeable. I'm also waiting on my pool builder to get back to me on a landscaping quote, which would give me some additional ideas in regards to types of...

Thank you and I will for sure post pictures when everything is lit. I have a question about startup. I still haven't gotten my test kit, so I'm just letting them do the startup. I will say that they put chlorine tablets in the dispenser and muriatic acid in the pool. Today he was saying that he...

I'm looking at doing my own landscaping because it's alot cheaper than hiring somebody to do it. I wanted to see what your thoughts were on the combination of plants/grasses that I'm thinking about and if they'll go together and work in the Texas heat. The plants I'm thinking about are Pineapple...

Are your bubblers tied into the main pump or the water feature pump? I'm trying to get mine changed off the main pump, just wanted to see what others had

I have a jet at the rear of the tanning ledge pointed at the wall that should help with that. Thanks for the compliments. We are ecstatic with how the color turned out. We sometimes just stare out the window at it when we're walking by. It reminds us of the water in Kauai, which is what we...

They are here starting up the pool. One thing I was surprised at is that the bubblers are hooked to the main pump. I assumed and am pretty sure I was told that they would be tied to the waterfall pump so they could be controlled with the automation. Anybody have any thoughts on that? To me it...

I agree with them. They're coming Monday to start our pumps as well. We spent tonight having dinner on the patio and with our feet on the ledge. Ofcourse my 4 year old was splashing around and having a blast. His smile made it all worth it!!

I do not know. I just remember talking about it when I went to see his. It was the transition from the vertical to flat where his was and that appears to be where it does the same thing on both of ours as well.

They're bringing the brush Monday when they come to bring the K2006 and start the equipment. They like to let it sit for a couple of days before they crank up the equipment apparently.

It looks much more even in person than the pictures. There are a few areas where there is more plaster than stone at the surface, but it overall has a very uniform look in person now that most of it has water on top of it. Here's a pic of the shelf with an inch or 2 of water on it.

Thanks. We were so nervous about how it would turn out, but the water color looks exactly like the deep sea blue in the shade with just a little more white visible in the plaster on the shelf. Here's a pic with the sun shining on it this morning. We are very pleased with how it turned out.
