    Circupool Edge union leaks

I’m a bit late to the party, but I constantly have this same issue with mine. They shouldn’t be baffled as I went around and around with their tech support troubleshooting late last year. They were not helpful at all and blamed the install. I jumped on TFP just now to actually post about this...

    Circupool Edge 25 Power Issues

I’ve been trying to replicate the problem before I do anything new. No dice so far. Comes on every time.

    Circupool Edge 25 Power Issues

That’s a good idea. I can also check the voltage. It’s an Intermatic. Haven’t had any issues with it although I replaced a couple of wires when I installed the SWG. Not that it means it didn’t develop an issue, but it there isn’t anything suspect. Maybe the pump is dragging the load down at just...

    Circupool Edge 25 Power Issues

My Edge 25 is hooked up to a mechanical timer and a flow switch. Normally when it powers up, all lights will come on, then turn off, and then the current setting is displayed and everything seems to work. Recently, every so often, it will power up - lights come on and all - and then nothing...

Active 30i bit the dust - broken cable

I finally got the replacement cable in. Pretty easy to install. It’s been running for the past few hours without throwing the “no power” error. Although, I noticed it does stop early, but seems to be something with the app.

Active 30i bit the dust - broken cable

I previously posted about issues with the Active 30i cable (purchased March 2021) and the cable is now broken. I babied it and made makeshift floats to keep it from untangling and kept my pH at 8+ and kept it out of the water most of the time, and it still deteriorated and tangled so much that...

    SWG monitoring

Not overthinking, I was confused by the wording also. I requested a feature a while ago where we could account for predicted FC loss. Over time I think with which data I might be able to roughly predict what my settings need to change week to week.

    SWG monitoring

I find I have had to increase time and % over what the pool math calculator shows. I tracked FC when I first got this installed and factored in an estimated loss per day variable. Seemed to be pretty accurate, and right in line with seasonal changes. My wife delivered suddenly last week on...

    SWG monitoring

Yep that’s about what mine was at until peak summer. I probably shouldn’t have backed it off to 16 hours when the weather cooled down - I had been running it 23 hours per day until then.

    SWG monitoring

CYA is 80. I felt like I had it dialed in pretty well, I was running it at 50% for 22 hours a day during this hot summer we have had here. A couple of weeks ago storms rolled through, the temp came down for a week or so, and that’s when that high measurement popped up. So I turned it down to...

    SWG monitoring

Hello all. I have a Circupool Edge 25. Two weeks ago the FC was 19 - the weather changed and I didn’t dial it back so it overproduced. I dialed it back a week ago and the FC came down to 5.5. It was 0.5 this morning so I turned the Boost on (first time I’ve ever used it) and measured again just...

Flood, low salt - not a problem, just curious

It was definitely an insane amount of rain. Down the street, water was almost up to the bottom of the mailboxes. We got lucky and the water was about 6” over the curb at the worst point.

Flood, low salt - not a problem, just curious

No urgency here as I’m just going to add salt - I was running a bit low on salt (3000 ppm) when we had a freak storm Friday night that flooded our neighborhood. Our pool was indistinguishable from the lake that was our backyard. The salt dropped precipitously to 2200 ppm. Does the SWCG use...

    Waterfall woes

We have completed #1-4, unfortunately. There’s nothing else for me to replace…but just for s&g’s I will try the drain o-rings (which were just replaced when I got the motor). I know I’ve asked this a few times already…but what if it’s an underground break? At what point do I have to go down...

That would be 3100 rpm…but if I operate it at that speed, what was the point of a VS motor?

    Waterfall woes

Horizontal in the plumbing but the plates are vertical. Not sure the plates being horizontal would make much of a difference as the air gap is quite large.

    Waterfall woes

I’m fine with the waterfall pump operation - it was way worse prior to rebuilding the plumbing. The main pump is my primary concern. There is a gap that develops in the SWCG cell, and exposes the plates. I suppose I don’t know if that’s an issue, but it seems like it would be. There is also no...

    Waterfall woes

On the main pump, it doesn’t lose prime after I purge the air out at max rpm’s. However, unless it’s at max rpm, it will suck air in from somewhere. I’ve Saran wrapped the incoming joints, but it still does it. On the waterfall pump, I can never purge it completely of air - there is always a...

    Waterfall woes

I put Saran Wrap on the coupler but it seems to be sucking in air still. Any idea on how to troubleshoot the pump housing itself? I have changed the drain plugs, changed the lid, all the internal seals like the backplate o-ring and mechanical seal is new. I have 1 PSI pressure at max RPMs...
