No urgency here as I’m just going to add salt - I was running a bit low on salt (3000 ppm) when we had a freak storm Friday night that flooded our neighborhood. Our pool was indistinguishable from the lake that was our backyard.

The salt dropped precipitously to 2200 ppm. Does the SWCG use salt faster with low ppm, or was this probably washout from the flood?

Again, just curious!

Dilution from the flood. Lots of your pool salt water probably overflowed and was lost.

SWCG does not "use" salt. If you don’t have any drainage or splashout the salt will be reused indefinitely.

It was definitely an insane amount of rain. Down the street, water was almost up to the bottom of the mailboxes. We got lucky and the water was about 6” over the curb at the worst point.
