No weir door on skimmer

We have had our pool for for a little over a year now and I just realized our skimmer does not have a weir door flap? Is this a problem?

Is there a way to add one? If so how would I found a proper door to fit it?

You need a weir.
Remove the skimmer cover plate and look on the underside of the cover for a part number.
Then look up that part number for parts.

A skimmer will not skim without a weir door.
You should be able to get a part number or brand name off the skimmer (possibly the cover) and order a door to use.

I would contact the builder and have them give you one- they likely have this & owe it you anyway.
If thats a dead end,
Your equipment should also be listed on your paperwork as to which model skimmer was installed if you can’t find any markings.

Please show us a pic, shot from the Skimmer basket side, looking out into the pool..

I agree with everything that has been said so far... But if all that fails, they make universal weir doors with spring loaded pins that work pretty well.

Thx everyone! I found the model # for the weir door but it’s only white waterway 550-9550. I did find a different part number for a gray color hopefully it’s the right size waterway 550-9957. From all the listings the listed measurements are the same
