Pre pool opening (white water mold)

It's likely whatever crud the ahhsome is expelling. I'm stunned there's any left after all it's already pushed out.

It’s insane !
This am abt 730 am after you responded my fc was 7. I raised it to 13 (easy math)

Pool had about 3 hours heavy use

Tested 730 pm fc 5. I just raised to 11

Around the skimmer bowl.

Stuff I’ve gotten in the same place was brownish/black then later grey and I thought it was said here that it was algae? (Not green or yellow)
Skimmer bowl picks up all sort of pool scum.

Doesn’t look like algae to me.

It certainly doesn't look appetizing. Or like something I'd want to swim with either. :ROFLMAO:

I seem to be blazing through chlorine again since adding more ahhsome(Friday) like 5ppm in 5 hours . I realize it’s doing it thing.

Should I be doing slam rn?
When would you advise adding stabilizer?

I had been waiting to pass slam,
Before adding stabilizer. Which I passed last week. Still wiping plenty of gunk from skimmer.
It is very hot/sunny here rn also

I'd let the CYA be until the FC loss subsides. You aren't fighting an active algae bloom, so theoretically you don't need slam FC, just enough extra to cover the loss, but the FC will be more potent in the meantime with a lower CYA. If it dips below 30, then adjust back to 30.

You can keep the cover closed to help with UV loss. Just open it to outgas here and there.

When I close the auto cover there is a pretty significant musty odor. Can I scrub it with a Lc/water solution without bleaching it?
If so - how much Lc (12.5 %) to water in a 5 gallon bucket ?

I scooped a bucket of pool water and poured it on/brushed today . But it’s still smelly

No idea, that's a question for troublefreelaundrydotcom. :ROFLMAO: (Our bleach levels are so low they are safe across the board).

recommendations are all over the map for making bleach solutions, from a capful to a cup per gallon. And that's likely assuming 6% chlorox.

I'd take several rounds with the elevated FC pool water. It'd suck to bleach the cover.

Happy to report the sludge is slowing.
(Finally, been a week today since adding). I know there is more in there because I’m still losing 2ppm overnight

Ran a full battery of test this am
After adjusting ph with MA
Fc 6
Ph 7.4
Cya 40
Ta 150
CH 250
