I got the email and was ready to buy but I do not see the refill set that includes the salt test. I have the TF-pro salt kit and would like to order the same refill set with the sale price but I don't see it.

Let me see if @Sarah and Nate can help us with this one. Stand by. :)

I've decided to clean out my cabinet of chemical wizardry, abandon my efforts at discovering the philosopher's stone, and letting go of my hopes of creating a homunculus in order to acquire a TF-PRO Salt kit ... plus the sleek case and custom designed foam looks pretty nifty ...

Hello,
The salt reagents are purchased separately but still discounted. They can be found on the website under Reagents > Salt. Email me [email protected] if you need more assistance.
Thanks,
Nate @ TFT

You know if you found the philosopher’s stone, you could use it to make all your fancy chemicals. Besides you already have children why would you want a homunculus?

As anyone who has watched Austin Powers knows … children can disappoint but a homunculus will be by your side forever …

I’m thinking to myself … DUH!?!? I should have ordered a spare case with this one to store all my old stuff in … oh well, I’ll have to inventory all my old reagents and see what I want to keep. I have like 5 speedstirs and several Taylor tubes with beans … I’ll be keeping those for sure. Plus my sample sizer and a few other gizmos.

Also, the CYA squirter cap fits the CYA reagent bottles which helps alot when making the 50/50 mix. Then use the flat CYA bottle cap on the squirter bottle to mix without having to plug the pointy cap with your finger. Then back to the pointy cap to squirt at the googely eye.

Just ordered mine - but where on these reagents is the expiration date listed? All of my Taylor bottles have a date clearly marked on them, but I see nothing anywhere on the bottles for these.

The TFTestkit refills are always fresh in my experience.
They are guaranteed for one year as I recall, but should work well for two seasons/years if stored properly indoors.
I usually write the date I receive them on the CYA container for reference.

@Sarah and Nate can provide the official TFTestkits response.

Taylor only provides "Best By" dates rather than expiration dates, so instead of reprinting those on our bottles we prefer to abide by Taylor's recommendation to replace reagents yearly. If you have any issues with a reagent within a year of purchase, we will troubleshoot with you or replace the reagent if it has gone awry. That said, if you would like the lot numbers and best by dates for your purchase, you can email me with your order number at [email protected] and I can give you that information.
