Intellicenter setup

Just lower your pH from 8 to around 7.6. Your TA will not move much.

What is the CH of your fill water? I think you are in a high CH area and your CH will rise over time as you replace evaporation. No rush in raising your CH then.

Youc an use 30 ppm more of SYA to around 70-80 in your area.
Well I took a sample of my fill water with me to the pool store and they got upset about testing it...so ill do it on my own but I do have a water filtration and softner system on my entire house so I dont expect it to have much in it.

Ok I will lower PH more and get that CYA up first.

@ajw22 somthing I find myself missing from my old school jandy rs4 to this is the ability to override the schedule from my phone (jandy was panel)....like I decide I want to run the pumps on high why cant I toggle into service mode from the app and crank up the pump instead of having to go to pump equipment.

I just added a feature circuit "pool high" which bumps the gpm on my vsf pump from 30gpm it normally runs at to 60 gpm. I also added an egg timer of 30 min to that so I dont forget to turn it off. I have been activating that "feature" when I brush the pool

Sweet and you Can you do that from the app?

Yes it appears that the app was updated, see link below. Do your lights still work using the OCP?

Thank you. I will try that here shortly to test as I am not sure if they do. Should there be a separate breaker for the lights maybe as well ?

For the winter time, what is the best settings for the salt cell down here in Houston area? I have it set to 20% right now.

4,

Keep in mind that once the pool water gets to about 52 degrees, the salt cell will go into the cold mode and no longer produce any chlorine.

Thanks,

Jim R.
Ok good to know, I am sitting at about 63 right now. Does that mean you leave yours cranked up and then as it gets colder you just work it off? I do have a few bottles of liquid chlorine on hand.

How do you handle yours?

Here in Las Vegas, my pool water hit 52 degrees yesterday. When I walked outside and looked at the SWG cell, the red cold water led was on and all other leds were off. No more chlorine generation for me. I am going to have to buy and dose liquid chlorine from now till the water warms up next March/April.

4,

I use my SWCG right up until it quits working (Goes into Cold mode), then I use Liquid Chlorine.

The good news is this time a year pools don't use much chlorine.

Also keep in mind that the cell may show cold mode in the morning when the water is colder and then start working in the afternoon. Once my SWCG goes into the cold mode, I just shut off the cell and start using Liquid Chlorine.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thanks. How do you shut it off via intellicenter?

Set the % to 0.
Ha ok easy enough. I just tested my water and it was at 11 FC with water temp at 58. I kicked it down to zero.

Let me ask this, what does the setting between spa and pool mean as far as the intellicenter? Does the spa reading only mean anything if its only in spa mode?

Can you elaborate on your question a little bit more? Are you talking about the SWCG setting? You can set different levels of chlorine production based on if it is in spa or pool. I think generally most people run less chlorine production in the spa as it is a smaller body and it would be more concentrated and 'in your face' than in the pool.
