Can you elaborate on your question a little bit more? Are you talking about the SWCG setting? You can set different levels of chlorine production based on if it is in spa or pool. I think generally most people run less chlorine production in the spa as it is a smaller body and it would be more concentrated and 'in your face' than in the pool.

Yes but my spa overflows into my pool when its just in pool mode so assuming that spa mode setting only means something when I am using the spa and have the valves shut off to the rest of the pool?

So my settings have always been like 40% pool and 20% spa but I always wondered if the spa setting could be zero and the 40% for the pool would be flowing through the spa in normal pool/spa mode.

Jeff,

I am not sure you fully understand how the cell's Pool % and Spa% works.

Anytime you are in the Pool mode, and the spa water is spilling over into the pool, your cell is producing chlorine at the Pool %.

The only time the cell would run at the Spa % is when you are in the spa mode and the spillover is shut off.

If you never use the spa, then there is no reason to set the Spa % at all. It can be zero or 50% or 100% it will make no difference unless you are actually in the Spa mode.

Thanks,

Jim R.
