I installed Edge-40 2½ months ago. Salt had been measuring 3500-3600 until today (hadn't checked in a few weeks). Today's Today it's 4000. Something cause salt to rise?

Add all of your test kits to your signature.

Do you have a K-1766 to accurately test salt content?

My K-1766 salt result is 3200ppm consistently. My RJ45+ shows 3400-4000 at times.
Salt cell is happily producing chlorine, so all is good.

K-1766 testing. Reagents good through 2023. It's 100+ here so water is evaporating, but have auto-fill, so should be constant. No backwash yet.

How much liquid chlorine and acid have you added?
Evaporation and autofill should keep the level constant.

Water mixed well and sample taken from some location?
Using a speed stir, holding the reagent bottle perfectly vertical, allowing drops to fully form on tip (don't "force" them off), about 1 drop per second?

K-1766 testing is +/- 200ppm. So previous test was 3600 +/- 200 and current test is 4000 +/- 200. That would still put results within the testing margin.

Don't forget to add test kit info to signature.

While you should continue to monitor monthly (unless something seems wrong), as long as the SWG is happy and making chlorine, you are good.

Yeah, do all that. Pump runs 12 hours, 2800/1800/2800, so should be well mixed. I'm fine with it high since SWG is keeping FC above 5. Maybe I just eat too much salt and oozes from my body 🤣. After sample turns brick red, it has a lot of white flakes in it, is that normal? My CH had been rising.

Lol, just retested from a different spot, took 21 drops! Good thing Edge-40 range is 3000-4500!

Those white globs are in mine too. I'm guessing there are normal.

CH is increasing due to evaporation. The high heat right is adding to that as well.
