Polywood Furniture

ODL delivered today about 3 pm. Driver was supposed to call me ~30 minutes prior to arrival. I got a doorbell notification on my phone and it was him. Fortunately my son was home. I rushed home and caught the driver. I asked "what happened, I was supposed to get a call." He replied "you would have if they had told me I was supposed to call you." I wasn't too upset about it since my only real concern was that it wouldn't get delivered.

Went back to work for a few hours and came home and started the assembly. Wasn't terribly bad, except the chaise lounges, the screws that hold the legs on take some oomph to get them started. They could have used a tapered screw.

About 10 minutes each to assemble the Adirondack chairs, and 30 minutes each for the loungers. Side tables were about 10 minutes each as well.

Here are a couple of pics.

My 3rd of 4 packages was delivered yesterday. I am out of town but have someone house sitting. Got notification my Adirondacks and table I ordered in late my shipped by UPS today and should deliver Monday or Tuesday.

Now if only my PB will finish my Dang pool.

Part of our patio got finished and my husband has been putting things together. His one comment: THANK YOU for getting wheels... 🤣

I will update once the dining set is put together but 4 of the 6 chairs don't have hardware...View attachment 353808
One of my end tables didn't come with hardware. Polywood sent a set right out, but still frustrating after already waiting months for the furniture to have to wait again for hardware.

I was going today why did you have to build the chairs. All my dining chairs and end tables came fully assembled. But then I saw which ones you bought.

I hope all my hardware is included for the stuff I do have to build.

Polywood still hasn't responded other than the auto generated "we've recieved your email and will respond in 3-5 business days". All we can do is wait...

Seriously like 10 minutes after I posted this, they sent an email. Hopefully the hardware will arrive next week!

Quick question for those who have cushions - if you leave them out and it rains, do they hold water? Ours do terribly unless we prop them up vertically and let them drain. Otherwise, we love our Polywood stuff - this is a small thing - just wondering if perhaps others were experiencing the same thing. We have cushions on the deep seating and also have the lounger cushions.

I remove all cushions daily and store in deck boxes for that reason unless I’m sure it won’t rain until the next use if it’s soon. We also only put out the ones we need, unless for a party. Also during pollen season it would be bad as well and they need rinsed - and dried - before use.

I’m sure others leave them out and for something like deep seating it would certainly be much easier to do that. But each approach has its +/-.

We bring our cushions in every night. We also have covers for our umbrellas we put on every night. We bring in the umbrellas anytime there is rain/storm or high winds.

I've had a pool for 4 weeks though maybe it will be different after 5 years or so...

So the conversation tables I ordered just shipped! Also, I've noticed that during the day with the kids I like sitting in the chaise lounge chairs but when there are more kids in the pool, I much prefer the adirondack chairs. I lugged the chairs back & forth between the table to the side of the pool several times. I may have to rethink the future purchases I had planned.
