Deciding between Intellibrite and Microbrite questions

I am replacing an old light in my pool during a replaster with a Pentair Intellibrite 5G color LED light, and I am trying to decide whether to add one additional one or several smaller Microbrite lights To the other side of the pool.

1. When either the Intellibrite or the Microbrite lights go bad, do I need to drain the pool to replace them? Can bulbs be swapped out or do the entire fixtures and wiring need to be replaced? Which is easier to work with in regard to replacing in the future?

2. How likely is it that the contractor will be able to find rebar inside the pool shell to bond the Intellibrite without having to tear open too much shell? Is rebar typically easily found or is it a bad idea to go this direction if I do not want to have to possibly open up much?

3. I would ideally like to set the lights so I can turn on the Intellibrite and Microbrites on or off using my phone, or set them all to a timer so they go on and off and selected times and I could also over ride them manually with my phone. Does the Microbrite or Intellibrite work the same way for what I want to do or is there a reason to go for one vs. the other?

Thanks in advance!

The pool does not need to be drained to repair or replace a light. You remove the light from the niche and pull it up to the deck for repairs.

You can replace the light engine board on the IntelliBrite. Nothing is serviceable in the MicroBrite.

No pool light gets bonded to the rebar directly. Both the pool rebar, deck rebar, and pool lights should all be connected to the bonding grid.

IntelliBrites and MicroBrites use the same controls. To control them with an app you have to connect them to Pentair Automation Systems - Further Reading

1. Which type of light last longer?
2. Which light involves less labor when it goes out?
3. Any idea if one intellibrite provides as much light as three or four micro brites?
4. For clarification, if I install 4 or 5 Microbrites, and one goes out, can the one that went out get replaced or do they all need to be replaced?

Thanks!
