I can see blue through my pool plaster on some of the shallow areas and around the pool under the tile around the rim. Is this a problem and if so what needs to be done about it?

A few pics are attached

Sorry you have not received any responses.

The color is odd. Are you using any copper containing algaecides, shock, or tablets?

How old is your pool? Is it on its original plaster or has it been replastered before?

Please put details of your pool in your signature. It helps us help you better.

I do have an solar ionizer in the pool that have a copper node, but I still treat the pool with chemicals as needed
As James and JD state above, you have copper staining. Discontinue the use of the ionizer thing. Then you will have to decide what you want to do about the staining.

If you are following TFPC and the FC/CYA Levels then it is doing absolutely nothing to help. Removing it won't fix the problem, just prevent it from getting worse.

There's a reason copper is hugely discouraged here, it is a menace. I will have to change my normal comments about this thing though (it gets asked about several times each season), I usually say it isn't a good ionizer but apparently it puts plenty of copper in the pool. Which actually makes it far worse than I thought it was, unfortunately.

After your've removed that copper device, add a double dose of metal sequestering agent and brush, brush, brush for a couple of weeks. Make sure your pH isn't over 7.6.

The "lines" of color suggest something else is going on, also. Probably something to do with the surface preparation prior to the replaster.
