Pump/ filter distance from above ground pool

I am going to start on my pool this weekend. I really don't want the pump right next to the pool. I have a storage building where I'm getting power from about 24ft from the pool. Can I install the Hayward 1.5hp Power-Flo pump with S180T sand filter by the building and pipe over to the pool. I believe this pump and filter has 1 1/2" fittings so would I use 1 1/2 pipe or upsize the 2" for any reason. I will install the pool so I have a straight shot from the pool to the pump.

I don't want to install this way and figure out I don't have enough flow.

Thanks,

Should not be an issue. Especially since your pump is below the surface of the water in the pool.

When you need to change the motor on the pump, get a 2 speed at least. You have a large pump for that size pool.

Welcome and congrats on the new pool!

I have done what you want to do. Mine was about 15 feet away. The pump will easily handle that distance. The straight runs offer minimal resistance to flows. I’m sure you were going to, but I’d suggest burying the pipe to prevent damage.
I would suggest that you place the skimmer in a place where the prevailing winds will help blow debris into the skimmer. Even if it takes some additional piping to get there. Using 1-1/2” pipe should be fine.
Use plenty of unions and decent valves both at the pool side and pump side. It makes maintenance way easier. I suggest a timer as well to help reduce power consumption.

Yes I am burying the pipe and have a handful of unions and valves. I hope to start the process this weekend. I am now reading all about nut grass preventers.
This is an old thread but seems to be very close to my issue. I am installing a 15x26 ft above ground pool. I have already purchased a hayward pump, SW15851x20TL with the pool and the installer said that the equipment pad was too far away from the pool and I needed and in-ground pump instead. Similar to the original post my equipment pad is about 25 feet from the pool, should be a straight shot and I was going to burry the hard PVC pipe. But instead they are instead suggesting a SP2610x15 super pump? Has less horse power 1.5hp vs the original 2hp but designed for an in-ground pool as opposed to my above ground pool. Supposed to be able to be installed at further distance. I was just looking for any input.
