Last year was a rough year for us medically so the pool was not the main priority. About the first part of June in 2018, we started and it was green, green, green. My husband was taking over because I just couldn't. Our local pool store was his go to and we were never able to get it totally clear. The last thing was they thought we had mustard algae. He did what they said and still cloudy. He finally gave up and now we have a green mess which I have straightened out before with the help from you all here.
We have an 16' x 43' inground fiberglass pool. We use chlorine, not salt. We have a sand filter and replaced sand last year.
It is still in the 30s for a few nights this week, but this weekend, the daytime temps will be in the 70s. I know we have lots of debris to get out first before I can do anything else and we have to get a new robot vac (will be looking for a good deal), but we have to manual vac first anyway. Should we drain off some of the water, get debris out, vacuum to waste, and SLAM or is there another process you recommend?
