My neighbor bought an Apex cell online to replace an IC40. It was a plug and play replacement and way cheaper than the $1200 Pentair.

This happens to me too. Either pluck the side of the cylinder or remove cylinder and put back on the base a time or two. It will start spinning properly.

My neighbor just replaced his IC40 with an Apex P60 and said it was plug and play and working great. His IC 40 was slightly undersized for his pool so the upgrade was necessary for his pool.

Are you saying your SWG is stuck in Boost mode? Have you tried killing all of the power, so all the lights go off on the IC40, and then repowering and restarting everything?

My first IC40 lasted from June 2014 to June 2020. If someone quoted you $1100 to replace it, that's a fair price in today's market! But your warranty replacement was even better!

When mine started blowing that fuse, I went through a whole box of them before I realized that it was a sign that the IC40 cell was worn out. I got about 6 Maryland Pool seasons of May through September when it died.
