it turned out there was an valve on the outside of the pool house that somehow was partially closed...that was easy..a very odd layout...Isn't very well designed, i would guess. I'll get a picture and put up on here next time I get down there. Thanks.

it is a recent problem. Would pump lose its prime because of a poor seal./ leak?

Thanks for the response: 3 Big Hayward Sand filters (3.5 feet high about..), 1 big pump, i'm not sure the HP...i'd guess it is a single speed, they used to have a good flow...I need to backwash the filters, i was a little concerned about having 3 of them going...i guess i isolate each one...

I have a cartridge too...sadly, i didn't clean it for 3 years and pool water was actually perfect. I filter all the input water through carbon though, and have very ontop of the chemistry..when i cleaned it they were dirty..i washed them good w/ a hose and soaked 24 hours in TSP, then re washed...

like ping said (btw, great user name), check the numbers. if your cyanuric acid gets too high, you can have problems with your chlorine being effective..anybody else think that? need to jump in my pool in a bit..85 water temp!

i have an IC60 just went out after 5 years. I need to replace it,..since i'm replacing it, i assume i don't need the new power supply. These things are just pug and play, yeah? My pool guy wanted >1600 for one, but i can get in on Amazon for ~760 or so. Shouldn't be a big deal?
