So much rain and cool weather, it’s the middle of June and haven’t been able to use the pool, first time in eight years ! Chance of more rain for the next ten days, ok I’m done whining hope the rest of the forum are enjoying their pools :cool:
Same here Mendy, cloudy,rain cool for 3 days. Only adding about 1/3 of chlorine that I would add on sunny warm days. Mid week upper 90’s will be swimming again !,
Looks like springtails, if that’s the case mix 2 tablespoon of dawn dish soap in a spray bottle filled with water and spray the edges of your pool.It messes with their ability to swim and they drown. I went through this situation a month ago . It took two applications a couple days apart but...
I know this has been asked before, but nothing pops up when I did a search. My pump has a gpm of 70, so if I do the math my pool water should turn over in about 3 hrs. With clear water and good balance do you’all think 3 hrs a day is long enough?

any luck with the bugs. Thought I got rid of them with the soap idea, but there back. Maybe it takes a few applications to get them all. Also the dead ones keep floating on the surface. I think I will try adding de to the filter. Since it’s cooled off for a few days in mo. I’m also going...
Same thing, they do jump I guess that’s why there called springtails. Sure wish I knew how to get rid of them. I started using a sock in the skimmer basket to catch them, my sand filter doesn’t seem to filter them out

i have the same problem, I believe those bugs are springtails. I also would like to get rid of them they are harmless but they are gross. Hopefully someone will come along and tell us a solution
