    Dirt clouding up pool

So our neighbors had a crummy tree crew cut down some trees this week and in their clean up using leaf blows they sent a cloud of dirt our way and now our pool the worse it’s been in 6 years since building. I’ve got the pump running on high and have been vaccing the bottom and already cleaned...

Travertine Coping in the Northeast? Freeze worries

I'm not in your area but we have had a couple winters now with sub freezing temps, even around 0 for a couple weeks and haven't seen any issues with our travertine. Hope it helps

    DIY (mostly) inground vinyl 16x36

It will some, especially as the kids hit their teenage years. I still jumped in this weekend because why not, the water was 80* and it is October

New Vinyl Pool Build in North Alabama

Looks like it will be a nice layout once complete. We opted to not have a main drain either and haven't regretted it.

Poured cement wall pool w/ vinyl liner

Some friends of ours was built the same way, no idea what the cost difference would have been versus wall panels. I think the liner would be cheaper than plaster and tile work.

    Deck Jets

We have 2 deck jets and love them, they help drown out the noisy neighbors and kids of all ages enjoy splashing in them. My in-law recently built a pool and added some as well after being around our pool.

What did you spend on landscaping after pool build?

We probably spent around $2500 in additonal dirt, plants, etc. in the first summer afterwards. Since then we have added another $2000 in hardscapes. We did everything DIY and as we learned how we would use the space.

Olathe, KS Vinyl Liner 16x36 Sports Pool (3.5-5-4ft) with 12x12 Sun Ledge

Wow, that operator was very good, nice not hitting huge rock shelves like we do here. We love our sports depth, not once have I wished for a traditional deep end. We had elementary and middle school age girls when we built it now, high school and college age but my nieces and nephews come over...

    Tips for passing inspection

We were not required to have the pump bolted down and haven't seen that in any code book.
