So our neighbors had a crummy tree crew cut down some trees this week and in their clean up using leaf blows they sent a cloud of dirt our way and now our pool the worse it’s been in 6 years since building. I’ve got the pump running on high and have been vaccing the bottom and already cleaned the cartridge filter once. Should I add some clarifier to help get the small dirt particles to clump together or just wait for it to filter out over a few days?

No one is swimming right? Let the filter do its thing and vacuum to waste if you can every now and then, my .02.
Stay away from clarifiers, they generally cause more problems than they fix. Bring your chlorine level up also. That dirt brought organics into the pool also.
