    Electrical Requirements for heat pump

I was hoping to get some advice on the electrical requirements for a heat pump for our new Intex pool. Pentair 1.5hp VS pump - 20amp 230V 50K btu heat pump - 20amp 230V 2 Led lights Dophin pool cleaner with DC motor. I was planning on installing a 60amp sub panel for everything and running...

    Plumbing Intex pool

Great thank you. I guess I am wondering why they are telling me the VS motors are only for inground pools then? I am sure it has to do with the height of the water, but makes sense to me they would work either way. I see Hayward has the Powerflo VS 300 now that is listed as an above ground pool...

    Hayward sp1091lx Skimmer Connection

Thank you very much! Ive seen this one in the past but wasnt sure if it would work with 2". Boggles the mind why they have threads on there that don't work with standard plumbing...

    Hayward sp1091lx Skimmer Connection

Here is a picture of the 2" threaded coupling on top of the skimmer. As you can see the threads on the bottom of the skimmer are quite a bit larger than the ID of the 2" coupler. I tried calling Hayward and wait time is crazy and they will not call me back.

    Hayward sp1091lx Skimmer Connection

Yes, it came with the smooth adapter but that part is for the ID threads not the outside. I have a 2" threaded PVC coupling and it is too small. Looks like 2-1\2" so obviously proprietary

    Hayward sp1091lx Skimmer Connection

Planning on hard piping my intex pool with 2" pvc and want to use the larger connection on the bottom of the skimmer for better water flow. It is larger than 2" PVC, obviously proprietary. Does anyone have a link to the union I need to go from their connect to 2" PVC?

    Plumbing Intex pool

My plan was to patch both of the intake holes, install skimmer basket in a higher position and re-use the return hole However, I was thinking the larger HP pump may need 2 intakes and 2 returns. May have to consult with a pool company on this as I want it done correctly. I have also read that...

    Plumbing Intex pool

Awesome thank you! I know you already had your pump setup for 2 returns and 2 intakes for the original pool you were supposed to get. Do you think you need 2 & 2 for the intex as well? I am going to install a skimmer basket and would rather have all the debri going through one intake only.

    Plumbing Intex pool

I read your pool building thread. Pretty much what I want to do. Some questions for you Did you use 2" pvc for everything and change the intex supplies and returns that came with the pool? Did you insulate your underground PVC at all? If so, with what? Do you have any issues with thr rigid PVC...

Great install. Going to be doing a very similar install and have some questions for you. Did you use 2" pvc for everything and change the intex supplies and returns that came with the pool? Did you insulate your underground PVC at all? If so, with what? Do you have any issues with thr rigid PVC...

Intex 16' x 32' Pool Hayward 150k BTU heater I was wondering if anyone has hard plumbed their Intex pool from a distant location and not put the filter right by the pool ports. I have a 1" gas line at my shop about 35-40' from where the filter and heater would normally go and would rather put...
